<div>Job Type: Full-time 
The Senior Buyer is a strategic supply chain professional responsible for material availability, vendor performance, cost management, and ERP system integrity.
This role goes beyond transactional purchasing &mdash; it requires foresight, ownership, and the ability to proactively identify risks before they impact operations. The Senior Buyer will play a key role in supporting planning functions within the ERP system, improving purchasing processes, and driving continuous cost and performance improvements across the supply chain. This position will also provide day-to-day guidance and oversights to the purchasing team.

Responsibilities:<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Strategic Purchasing &amp; Supply Chain Management</h3><ul><li>
Manage procurement of raw materials and critical components to support production schedules and maintain material availability.</li><li>
Monitor shortage reports, identify supply risks, and proactively resolve delivery or lead-time issues with suppliers.</li><li>
Identify and implement cost-savings opportunities including alternate sourcing, bulk purchasing, and value engineering initiatives.</li><li>
Track and report supplier performance metrics including delivery performance, lead times, and cost trends.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Vendor Management</h3><ul><li>
Manage supplier relationships including performance, pricing, lead times, and contract terms.</li><li>
Contact vendors to resolve past-due orders and coordinate delivery timelines.</li><li>
Communicate with operations regarding delays or supply issues that could impact production schedules.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Purchasing Operations</h3><ul><li>
Review and process purchase order confirmations to ensure accurate system data.</li><li>
Update vendor purchase order due dates and follow up on missing confirmations.</li><li>
Assist in purchasing supply and maintenance items to support operations.</li><li>
Identify and resolve discrepancies between receipts and invoices.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Inventory &amp; Cross-Functional Coordination</h3><ul><li>
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Accounting to resolve supply chain, inventory, or system issues.</li><li>
Support inventory accuracy and raw material management within the stockroom.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Systems &amp; Process Improvement</h3><ul><li>
Serve as ERP subject matter expert for purchasing and planning functions.</li><li>
Maintain accurate purchasing data within the ERP system and support continuous process improvements.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Team Support</h3><ul><li>
Provide guidance, training, and task oversight to members of the purchasing team to support departmental efficiency and performance.</li></ul>
What You'll Bring
Required Skills &amp; Abilities:<ul><li>
Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate supply chain issues before they impact production.</li><li>
Ability to exercise sound judgment under tight deadlines.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.</li><li>
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Ability to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.</li><li>
Firm but diplomatic negotiation skills.</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook..</li></ul>
Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>
5+ years of supply chain or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>
Experience working within an ERP system required, knowledge of Genius a plus.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.</li><li>
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.</li></ul>
