Position OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our in-house legal team. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial regulations, litigation, and NBFC operations under RBI guidelines. The intern will support legal drafting, regulatory research, litigation support, and operational legal tasks.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Legal Drafting &amp; Review</li><li>Review, vet, edit, and detail legal documents such as loan agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, etc.</li><li>Draft notices, replies, and internal legal correspondence.</li><li>Litigation Support</li><li>Assist in preparing and filing civil recovery suits.</li><li>Coordinate with external legal counsel and follow up on case progress.</li><li>Regulatory Compliance</li><li>Conduct legal research on RBI regulations applicable to NBFCs.</li><li>Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.</li></ul>Operational Legal Tasks<ul><li>Manage document printing, scanning, notarization, and record-keeping.</li><li>Maintain and organize legal files and databases.</li><li>Client Interactions</li><li>Support legal team communication regarding recoveries and legal issues.</li><li>Respond to basic client legal queries under supervision.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Law (3rd year or above preferred for 5-year course, or final year for 3-year course).</li><li>Strong understanding of NBFC operations and relevant RBI regulations.</li><li>Prior internship or academic exposure to financial laws, contracts, and civil litigation preferred.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to manage both trivial and complex legal tasks with professionalism.</li><li>Basic proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.</li></ul>What You&rsquo;ll Gain<ul><li>Real-world exposure to financial laws and NBFC operations.</li><li>Hands-on experience in litigation and corporate legal work.</li><li>Direct mentorship from experienced legal and compliance professionals.</li><li>Opportunity to build foundational skills for a career in financial legal services.</li></ul>Working ModelHybrid Setup: Combination of remote work and in-office attendance as required.Work Hours: Flexible, with deliverables-based performance expectations.Stipend: &#8377;5,000 per month (paid at the end of each month for the duration of the internship).How to ApplyPlease send your updated CV and a brief cover letter to legal@creditsea.com with the subject line:Application for Legal Intern &ndash; CreditSeaJob Types: Full-time, Internship Contract length: 3 monthsPay: &#8377;5,000.00 - &#8377;7,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
