<div>JOB SUMMARY

The Envelope Machine Operator must be able to work with the Machine Adjuster on the W+D 527 and/or W+D 627 Envelope Converting Machine effectively to meet production goals to satisfy the demands of our clients and intra-company departments, while upholding the highest level of quality and commitment to Innovairre.

Responsibilities and Activities:
<ul>
<li>Performs quality inspections to ensure accurate measurements of envelope, window, and flap dimensions.</li>
<li>Loads raw materials, load and pack finished envelopes in a fast-paced environment. Performs preventive maintenance.</li>
<li>
Performs preventive maintenance.
</li>
<li>Maintains adequate levels of glue, ink, window film, etc.</li>
<li>Alerts the Machine Adjuster or Supervisor regarding equipment malfunctions or quality issues.</li>
<li>Fills out production reports including information such as name, date, job number, activity codes, etc., that are to be turned in at the end of the shift.</li>
<li>Works safely to prevent accidents by keeping the area clean and free of any trip hazards (such as straps or hoses), following proper lifting techniques, and keeping all aisles, fire extinguishers, and hose areas clear.</li>
<li>Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.</li>
</ul>Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED.</li>
</ul>
Work Experience:
<ul>
<li>Previous machine operator experience preferred.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
<ul>
<li>Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including moving up to 10 pounds regularly and lifting to 45 pounds intermittently.</li>
<li>Must be able to read, write, and communicate in clear business English.</li>
<li>Able to work well as part of a team and be held accountable for quality of work produced.</li>
<li>Willing to follow all safety rules and procedures, which includes wearing all required safety equipment (earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).</li>
<li>Ability and desire to learn the craft and become a Machine Adjuster.</li>
<li>Able to work overtime, as needed.</li>
</ul>

This position is responsible for operating or assisting in a direct mail manufacturing environment with a focus on reduction in cost related errors, exceeding client expectation, and driving a safe workplace. 10 hour shift - 5AM - 3PM

Responsibilities:

<li>Operates and maintains equipment.</li>
<li>Performs adjustments on machine per job instructions.</li>
<li>Meets and exceeds production standards and maintaining customer quality requirements.</li>
<li>Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift change.</li>
<li>Follows all safety policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Adheres to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).</li>
<li>Troubleshoots problems with minimum delay time.</li>
<li>Communicates with Management on any problems developing and corrective action.</li>
<li>Works with urgency when equipment is down to maintain production requirements.</li>
<li>Continues learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production.</li>
<li>Facilitates teamwork among team members and between shifts.</li>
<li>Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.</li>
</ul>Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS

Education
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED</li>
</ul>
Work Experience
<ul>
<li>2 years manufacturing experience (preferred)</li>
</ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to install, maintain, and repair equipment following safety guidelines.</li>
<li>Knowledge of predictive and productive maintenance systems.</li>
<li>Able to stand for long periods, bend, and perform repetitive motions.</li>
<li>Able to move and lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.</li>
<li>Able to stand on concrete for 10-12 hours.</li>
<li>Willingness to work overtime when needed.</li>
<li>Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions. Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and be accountable for quality.</li>
<li>Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.</li>
<li>Adherence to safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out and HazCom) and departmental SOPs.</li>
</ul>
 
Shift: 5am-3pm
