Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and patient-centered Medical Assistant/Scribe/Surgical Technician to join our high-performing outpatient clinic specializing in vein care. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing future careers in medicine, PA school, or nursing who want meaningful hands-on clinical experience in a supportive environment. You&rsquo;ll work directly with physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) while contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced clinical team.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral:<ul><li>Provide excellent patient care</li><li>Work together with the team members at the clinic(s) to reach clinic goals</li><li>Train new clinical staff as needed</li><li>Provide feedback and answers to patient calls as appropriate</li><li>Attend periodic team meetings</li></ul>Consult-based Patient Care:<ul><li>Display a caring and courteous attitude and represent the practice in a positive, professional manner</li><li>Provide and document assessments, obtain and document vital signs, provides patient care, education, and counseling as directed by the provider</li><li>Formulate a multimodality treatment strategy for the patients&rsquo; venous insufficiency, under the direction of a provider</li><li>Take accurate lower extremity measurements for fitted compression stockings</li><li>Take photos of the leg for medical necessity purposes</li><li>Generate patient referrals as necessary for continuity of care</li><li>Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records</li><li>Must demonstrate timely turnaround and completion of documentation within 24- 48hrs</li></ul>Surgical Assisting:<ul><li>Assume duties of a Surgical Tech when needed to include mixing medications and assisting with sterile and non-sterile procedures</li><li>Competently assist with proper patient positioning, prepping and draping according to procedural guidelines</li><li>Assist physician during procedures; sterile gowning/gloving, hands wires, catheters, syringes, surgical instruments, etc., as needed</li><li>Dress the patient&rsquo;s procedural sites and assist in the placement of compressive ace bandages and/or compressive stockings following provider&rsquo;s orders</li><li>Adhere to all infection control, universal precautions, and safety policies and dispose of medical waste properly</li><li>Prepare and maintain the procedure room &ndash; clean, stock, maintain equipment &amp; instruments according to company guidelines</li><li>Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment</li><li>Other duties as assigned by management, or clinical director</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Excellent clinical skills</li><li>Must have a strong work ethic</li><li>Must be an exceptional listener</li><li>Exemplary customer service by being sensitive to patients&rsquo; needs and feelings</li><li>Very detail-oriented</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li><li>Grammatical proficiency</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability as it pertains to schedules, responsibilities and priorities</li><li>The ability to interact with, support, and influence positively the behavior and activities of patients, physicians and staff/co-employees</li><li>The ability to work independently and as a cooperative member of a team</li><li>Ability to define challenges, analyze problems, and implement solutions in a proactive manner</li><li>Dedicated to follow-through and results</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to the venous field</li></ul>Minimum Requirements<ul><li>Must have reliable transportation</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in the medical field required</li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Successful completion of Medical Assistant, Surgical Technologist, Nursing Assistant, or related Program strongly preferred</li></ul>To be considered, please submit your resume along with a cover letter and tell us why you are pursuing this position and what makes you our ideal candidate.
