Transports students and staff to various location by car, van, or bus for recreational and educational purposes. Performs and documents preventative maintenance on vehicles. Duties: Ensures the safety, health, and security of students, staff, and property. Administers rules and procedures regulating the entry, exit, and conduct of persons who seek access to the campus. Assists in the conduct of evaluation drills, fire drills, active shooter drills, etc. as required by the PRH. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. Obtains help by sounding alarms. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures. Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls. Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ensures and enforces all laws, rules and policies within his/her scope of authority. Conducts foot patrols all assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions. Aids and assists visitors, student employees and staff in every way possible. Performs building security and safety checks. Receives complaints and performs appropriate investigations as directed by management. Provides transportation service as needed or assigned. Investigates vehicle accidents as assigned. Issues visitor passes and temporary parking permits. Participates in preparation and enforcement of Center&rsquo;s safety and fire prevention program. Participates in daily briefing covering assignments, proper dress, and procedures. Provides written and oral reports, briefings, or summaries to appropriate staff. Drive vehicles to designated destinations as assigned. Compliance with state and local motor vehicle laws. Ensure all vehicles are equipped with fire extinguishers, emergency warning lights, roadside flares/reflectors, emergency contact numbers, and well maintained first-aid kits. Provide transportation to and from the center daily for nonresidential students. Provide transportation to and from the center&rsquo;s designated arrival point for students using government-paid transportation. Provide transportation for students to and from off-center training, work-based learning, and off-center activities. Provide transportation for students to and from off-center medical/dental appointments. Comply with company and Job Corps travel policies and all Federal travel guidelines. Protect government credit cards and maintain receipts for all fuel and other purchases for audit. When assigned, upload mileage and fleet usage in JC Suite of Applications. Clean and inspect all vehicles weekly. Implement practices to reduce the consumption of petroleum fuel through efficient fleet operations. Drive safely and delivers students, staff, and products within deadlines. Analyze delivery address, determine appropriate routes and maintain schedule. Report any accidents or injuries to Supervisors immediately. Load and unload products from trucks and trailers, as assigned. Perform vehicle inspection such as checking fluid level and tire pressure. Ensures driver and passengers wear seat belts, when available. When transporting infants, restraints must meet applicable state requirements. Ensures no vehicle is loaded (with personnel or materials) beyond the vehicle&rsquo;s rated capacity. Ensures students are not transported in the back bed of a pickup truck or other open bed vehicle unless such vehicle has been equipped with appropriately designed and constructed seating and safety restraints. Ensures all aisles in buses and vans shall be kept free of luggage, tools, and equipment. Ensures no bus transporting personnel shall have the emergency door locked or constricted. Notify supervisors about any major repairs and maintenances. Follow local and state driving laws and road regulations. Maintain the vehicle clean and safe. Schedules and delivers vehicles for routine preventative or corrective maintenance at approved facilities. Works with management team to provide exceptional customer services and address student needs. Perform vehicle inspection before and after each trip. Adhere to company operating policies and procedures. Maintain driving log, prepare vehicle performance forms and complete daily paperwork Provide special care in delivering fragile and hazardous products. Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures. Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices Follows CDSS plan and the Standards of Conduct system. Models, mentors, monitors appropriate Career Success Standards. Continuously helps students become more employable Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary actions up to and including termination. Assists in maintaining student security and accountability during training, day and evening, by continuously walking through those areas where students are being trained, having lunch, participating in dorm activities, recreational activities, and monitors grounds over entire Center. Performs other duties as assigned by management within the employees capabilities. Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, students and visitors by establishing and enforcing policies and supervising security staff. Duties: Ensures the safety and security of students, staff, visitors and property. Provides direct oversight and supervision of safety, security and transportation. Ensures the enforcement of all laws, rules and policies within scope of authority. Serves as liaison with local law enforcement, fire, and local code officials. Develop, implement, and maintain safety, security and transportation plans and procedures. Coordinates the Center&rsquo;s emergency preparedness plan. Conducts and documents inspections and implements plans to abate identified hazards. Leads the Safety Committee. Conducts safety drills (fire, lockdown, evacuation, etc.). Performs or assists with accident investigation, safety and security concerns and implements corrective action. Performs building safety and security checks. Coordinates the training of personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention, investigation and reporting, workplace inspections and other matters related to implementing safety procedures. Schedule and coordinate center transportation needs. Maintain logs for vehicle use, maintenance and fuel usage. Investigate vehicle accidents involving Center vehicles and file appropriate reports. Ensures compliance with DOT, OSH, DOL guidelines, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures and other safety and transportation regulations. Adheres to required property controls policies and procedures. Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices. Models, mentors and monitors appropriate career success skills. Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement. Participates in PRH mandated staff training.
