Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health services to diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes, foster recovery, and support overall community health.Duties<ul><li>Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards. </li><li>Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications while monitoring for efficacy and side effects, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations. </li><li>Provide evidence-based psychotherapy interventions and coordinate with case management teams for holistic patient care. </li><li>Administer specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy, dermal fillers, or esthetic laser treatments when applicable. </li><li>Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment plans tailored to individual needs. </li><li>Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and medical records management. </li><li>Engage in telehealth services to expand access to mental health care, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards including HIPAA.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current state licensure. </li><li>Proven experience in behavioral health settings with exposure to acute care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, including medication administration and management of complex psychiatric conditions. </li><li>Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth for efficient documentation and patient tracking. </li><li>Experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, assisted living residents, or individuals with developmental disabilities. </li><li>Critical care experience or hospital medicine background is highly desirable to handle complex cases effectively. </li><li>Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to patient care and team collaboration.
