Contract to hire opportunityCloud Automation Engineer Job Description<ul><li>Automate the provisioning of cloud environments through &quot;pipeline engineering&quot; using Terraform, Chef, Puppet, and other tools.</li><li>Research, analyze, design, develop, and support automation workflows in the cloud platform aligned with business and technology strategies.</li><li>Collaborate with engineering teams to strategize, consult, and prototype solutions for CI/CD and cloud adoption.</li><li>Evangelize best practices: Distributed Version Control, Trunk-Based Development, ATDD/TDD, pipelines, infrastructure, and release automation.</li><li>Drive proof-of-concepts and conduct technical feasibility studies.</li><li>Stay current with emerging technologies and propose adoption where beneficial.</li><li>Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams.</li><li>Manage processes for 3rd-party data streams into the datacenter and cloud.</li><li>Partner with Architecture teams on enabling work and sequencing for optimal value delivery.</li><li>Ensure high availability and 24x7 monitoring of systems.</li><li>Improve operational processes and procedures continuously.</li><li>Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Azure and cloud-native (12-Factor) application development.</li><li>Lead compliance automation and policy-as-code for cloud governance.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service to internal/external stakeholders.</li><li>Communicate project health, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.</li><li>Resolve conflicts on timeline, budget, and scope; escalate when necessary.</li><li>Drive change through review and approval processes.</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies, hybrid models, and emerging trends.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP including native toolsets (Azure ARM, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation).</li><li>Expertise in automation and configuration management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).</li><li>Experience with Azure services: EventHub, VMs, AKS, Blob Storage, DNS, VNet, Redis Cache, App Service.</li><li>Strong Linux OS skills.</li><li>Scripting and automation proficiency (Python, Ruby).</li><li>Experience in monitoring distributed systems (ZipKin, DataDog, AppDynamics, Splunk, Nagios).</li><li>Strong background in source control (GIT/Subversion), build tools (Maven, Gradle, Webpack), code quality (Sonar), artifact management (Artifactory), and CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).</li><li>Deep technical knowledge in software design, systems operations, databases, virtualization, networking, storage, security, and Linux administration.</li><li>Familiarity with APIs, web services, and integration design.</li><li>Experience in Agile development and Scrum practices.</li><li>Strong leadership, architectural design, and mentoring skills.</li><li>Ability to create system/process flow diagrams and UML artifacts.</li><li>Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and ability to apply them.</li><li>Excellent written/oral communication for technical and non-technical audiences.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>7&ndash;10 years of IT experience required.</li><li>5&ndash;7 years of cloud development and support experience (Azure, AWS, GCP) required.</li><li>2&ndash;3 years of experience in the consumer banking industry preferred.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in a related field (or equivalent/military experience) required.</li><li>Master&rsquo;s Degree preferred.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>IT: 7 years (Required)</li><li>cloud development and support : 5 years (Required)</li><li>Azure, AWS, GCP: 5 years (Required)</li><li>Terraform: 6 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Irving, TX 75039
