Job Title: Copy Editor &ndash; LaTeX Location: Chennai / Pondicherry / Remote Employment Type: Full-Time, PermanentAbout the RoleWe are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Copy Editor with LaTeX expertise to join our Editorial Services &ndash; Journals team. The ideal candidate will have strong language editing skills along with hands-on experience in editing and formatting content using LaTeX. You will play a key role in ensuring the technical and linguistic accuracy of academic and scientific publications.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Edit and proofread content for grammar, punctuation, syntax, and spelling errors.</li><li>Perform language and technical editing of documents prepared in LaTeX format.</li><li>Ensure consistency in layout, equations, references, and formatting using LaTeX commands and templates.</li><li>Collaborate with production teams to resolve LaTeX-related formatting or compilation issues.</li><li>Verify facts, cross-check references, and ensure technical accuracy of content.</li><li>Ensure all materials adhere to journal-specific style guides, tone, and brand voice.</li><li>Enhance clarity, readability, and overall presentation of academic manuscripts.</li><li>Work closely with authors, writers, and designers to meet publication deadlines.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Excellent command of English and strong grammar/language editing skills.</li><li>Proficiency in LaTeX typesetting and ability to handle structured documents.</li><li>Familiarity with academic or journal publishing standards.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and consistency in formatting and style.</li><li>Proficiency with editing tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Grammarly, and LaTeX editors such as Overleaf or TeXstudio).</li><li>Familiarity with major style guides (AP, Chicago, MLA, or journal-specific).</li><li>Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;20,000.00 - &#8377;35,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li><li>Work from home</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
