Requirements 
<ul><li>
6+ years of experience as a data engineer.</li><li>
Familiarity with analytical architectures including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes and Data Lakehouses.</li><li>
Knowledge of Microsoft relational engines available &ndash; both on-premises (MS SQL Server) and on the cloud (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics Dedicated Pools).</li><li>
Knowledge of query and workload optimization.</li><li>
Knowledge of administrating and managing analytical solutions both on premises and on the cloud.</li><li>
Knowledge of NoSQL offerings on Azure (e.g. CosmosDB).</li><li>
Knowledge of setting up Data Lakes on ADLS gen 2 and Azure Synapse Analytics.</li><li>
Knowledge of using SSIS and Azure Data Factory to set up ETL jobs.</li><li>
Knowledge of setting up OLAP solutions using SSAS.</li><li>
Familiarity with Azure Data Catalog to manage data lake metadata.</li><li>
Knowledge of governance over Azure based analytical solutions including using tools such as Purview, Active Directory, Key Vault, Azure DevOps, etc.</li><li>
Knowledge of using Azure Stream Analytics to capture and analyze data in real time.</li><li>
Knowledge of setting up data warehouse solutions both on-premises (using MS SQL Server) and on the cloud (using Azure Synapse Analytics).</li><li>
Knowledge of Dimensional Modeling (Dimensions, Facts, Slowly Changing Dimensions, Outriggers, Role Playing Dimensions, Junk Dimensions, Degenerate Dimensions, Multi-valued Dimensions, Transactional Facts, Periodic Snapshot Facts and Accumulating Snapshot Facts).</li><li>
Knowledge of implementing common ETL patterns to support data warehouse workloads.</li><li>
Knowledge of using U-SQL, PolyBase and Azure Data Lake Analytics to perform federated querying.</li><li>
Knowledge of PowerBI.</li><li>
Familiarity with SSRS.</li><li>
Snowflake Experience: Experience with Snowflake is required.</li></ul>
Nice to Have:<ul><li>
An MSc in Computer Science or other relevant field.</li><li>

Principal Data Engineer

<div>We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Storage Engineer to join our team and play a key role in managing multiple data storage infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Weka and Ceph, or other parallel and object storage solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for various aspects of storage administration, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. This is a customer-facing position.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and maintain Weka and Ceph storage environments.</li><li>Provision storage resources to meet application and user requirements.</li><li>Configure and manage storage pools, volumes, and snapshots.</li><li>Implement and maintain data protection strategies, including backups and replication.</li><li>Monitor storage performance and capacity utilization.</li><li>Identify and troubleshoot storage-related issues.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance tasks.</li><li>Stay up-to-date on the latest storage technologies and best practices.</li><li>Document storage configurations and procedures.</li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation to provide critical support for AI and HPC operations.</li></ul>
Work Conditions<ul><li>
Standard 8-hour workday with participation in a rotational on-call schedule aligned with the US Eastern Time zone, providing critical operational support for AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.</li></ul> 

Requirements<ul><li> 
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>8+ years of experience in storage administration.</li><li>Proven experience with Weka and Ceph or other parallel and object storage solutions (Panasas/Vdura, Lustre, VAST).</li><li>Strong understanding of storage protocols (e.g., FC, iSCSI, NFS, S3).</li><li>Experience with storage management software (e.g., Weka Home, VAST Management Console).</li><li>Strong Linux systems administration skills and experience with open-source technologies.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Excellent time management and organizational skills.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with storage virtualization technologies (e.g., NetApp SVM, Weka CSI).</li><li>Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, BASH, Ansible).</li><li>Familiarity with storage over InfiniBand networks.</li><li>Understanding of high-performance storage and parallel file systems used in HPC/AI and Cloud.</li><li>Hands-on HPC Cluster administration experience.</li></ul>
