Position Overview</b></div><div>
We are seeking skilled, professional <b>Phlebotomists with corporate wellness or biometric screening experience</b> to support our on-site employee health screening events. This role is engaged on an as-needed basis and is<b> classified as a 1099 independent contractor position.</b></div><div></div><div><br>
Events are generally conducted during early mornings and daytime hours on weekdays, offering a flexible schedule for supplemental work.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Purpose of the Position</b></div><div>
To perform health risk screening assessments and provide clear, supportive counseling on screening results at employee health screening events.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>
Welcome participants and guide them through the screening process</li><li>
Obtain height (stadiometer) and weight measurements</li><li>
Measure resting blood pressure using a manual cuff</li><li>
Perform fingerstick blood collection and operate Cholestech LDX/CardioChek equipment accurately</li><li>
Assess lipid panel and glucose results</li><li>
Perform venipuncture blood draws (when required) within two attempts</li><li>
Accurately document screening data via paper forms or electronic tablets</li><li>
Complete basic data entry using electronic systems</li><li>
Assist with troubleshooting screening or equipment issues</li><li>
Support setup, breakdown, and transport of screening equipment</li><li>
Assist with medical emergencies (e.g., fainting, hypoglycemia, seizures, syncope, cardiac arrest), including initiating emergency response and providing CPR as needed</li><li>
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standards</li><li>
Perform additional screening modalities or duties as trained and assigned</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Physical Demands</b></div><ul><li>
Ability to work in a variety of client-site environments</li><li>
Stand for up to 6 hours</li><li>
Bend, lift, and carry supplies and equipment (up to 30 lbs; push/pull up to 50 lbs)</li><li>
Use arms to properly operate screening equipment (e.g., stadiometer)</li><li>
Navigate stairs while transporting equipment</li><li>
Safely assist participants during medical emergencies as required by protocol</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Qualifications</b></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Education:</b></div><ul><li>
High school diploma or GED required</li><li>
Completion of a phlebotomy or medical assistant program preferred</li><li>
Completion of a nursing program preferred</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Requirements:</b></div><ul><li>
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required</li><li>
Previous biometric screening experience preferred</li><li>
Current CPR/BLS Certification required</li><li>
Current phlebotomy and/or medical certification preferred or as required by state regulations</li><li>
Experience obtaining anthropometric measurements (manual BP, height, weight, BMI)</li><li>
Proven proficiency in venipuncture and/or fingerstick capillary blood draws in accordance with regulatory and infection control standards</li><li>
Ability to independently perform all clinical duties and exercise sound clinical judgment</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
