The front desk/ Patient Service Coordinator functions to aid the team in coordinating patients for services. They are responsible for general front desk office functions, including answering phones and scheduling, along with billing duties which include organizing patient medical costs and sending invoices to collect payment from patients and their insurers, entering patient data into administrative systems, and recording information about outstanding claims.Patient Service Coordinator Duties<ul><li>Greets, responds quickly and effectively to needs of patients and guests</li><li>Answers phone calls and responds to emails</li><li>Schedules appointments</li><li>Responsible for daily completion of insurance verification</li><li>Perform posting charges</li><li>Perform completion of claims to payers</li><li>Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers</li><li>Process claims in Ehr platform</li><li>Resolve denial instances</li><li>Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided</li><li>Conduct audits</li></ul>General Duties<ul><li>Completes assignments as assigned.</li><li>Participates in staff meetings and trainings.</li><li>Participates in keeping common areas the office clean.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Interpersonal Abilities/Personal Characteristics<ul><li>Uses sound judgment.</li><li>Self-motivated.</li><li>Organizes and maintains work environment to allow for maximum productivity.</li><li>Reports on time for scheduled shifts and stays until the end of the scheduled shift.</li></ul>Communication<ul><li>Communicates clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.</li><li>Written and verbal English competency.</li><li>Able to read and follow directions.</li></ul>Minimum Requirements<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree or higher</li><li>Minimum of 1 years&rsquo; experience in medical billing or any coding industry</li><li>Proficient in electronic medical records</li><li>Intermediate proficiency skills in the use of Microsoft Windows, Outlook and Word</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team setting</li><li>Positive, upbeat personality with a can-do spirit.</li></ul>Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Medical billing: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
