We value initiative, innovation, and a solutions-focused mindset, especially when it comes to optimizing processes through technology.If you're looking to grow your HR career in a supportive, fast-paced environment where your ideas are welcomed and your development is prioritized, we invite you to join our dynamic team.Key ResponsibilitiesBenefits Administration<ul><li>Manage employee benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), EAP and ancillary benefits.</li><li>Serve as benefit expert and liaison between employees and providers.</li><li>Coordinate open enrollment and new hire benefits onboarding.</li><li>Foster strong working relationship with 3rd party benefit administrators, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all federal and state benefit regulations.</li><li>Develop and maintain an accessible, user-friendly educational database where employees can easily find up-to-date videos, guides, and resources about our benefits programs.</li><li>Identify and implement innovative, low- or no-cost benefit programs that appeal to key demographics in our workforce and serve as tools for attracting diverse talent.</li><li>Review payroll deductions and monthly benefit billing for accuracy; process adjustments or refunds as needed.</li></ul>HR Operations Support<ul><li>Oversee administration of the random drug testing program.</li><li>Cross-train and provide backup support for onboarding and offboarding employees</li><li>Cross training and provide backup support for Recruiting Coordinator</li><li>Support the development of standardized HR processes and assist in building a comprehensive HR operations manual for each key role&middot;</li><li>Serve as secondary HR contact, partnering with Safety Department to ensure workplace injury and vehicle accident requirements are followed</li><li>Audit and maintain HR systems and ensure accuracy of personnel documentation.</li><li>Assist with payroll coordination, timekeeping accuracy, and compliance reporting as needed</li><li>Prepare routine HR reports and support internal and external audits as needed</li><li>Answer, screen, and route incoming HR-related calls professionally and efficiently.</li><li>Participate in training, safety, and professional development efforts.</li></ul>Professional Growth &amp; Development<ul><li>Take ownership of your development through mentorship and hands-on exposure to HR leadership, compliance, and strategic planning.</li><li>Proactively engage in projects that build decision-making, communication, and operational leadership skills.</li><li>Gain visibility into long-term HR planning and organizational development initiatives to understand the broader impact of HR.</li><li>Identify knowledge gaps and pursue self-directed learning aligned with evolving HR priorities and departmental needs.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in HR or SHRM certification required; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree a plus</li><li>3&ndash;5 years of experience as an HR Generalist with a strong benefits administration background</li><li>Confident public speaker with strong group presentation skills.</li><li>Excellent customer service, conflict resolution, and active listening skills.</li><li>Analytical mindset with proficiency in research and data interpretation.</li><li>Solid understanding of multi-state employment laws and HR compliance.</li><li>Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and Adobe PDF tools.</li><li>Quick to learn and navigate third-party and proprietary HR/benefits platforms.</li><li>Bilingual in Spanish and English, with professional translation and editing abilities.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience supporting a growing, multi-location organization.</li><li>Familiarity with industries such as landfill operations, engineering, construction, or environmental science.</li><li>Notary Public certification.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
