Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/HR Assistant to join our team! In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for managing accurate financial records, supporting HR functions, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Your expertise in accounting software and HR processes will help us maintain compliance, streamline workflows, and foster a positive organizational environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across both financial management and human resourcesResponsibilities<ul><li>Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger management.</li><li>Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis to ensure financial accuracy.</li><li>Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.</li><li>Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for upper management.</li><li>Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and related governmental accounting requirements.</li><li>Support HR functions such as maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding/offboarding procedures, and coordinating benefits administration.</li><li>Handle administrative tasks related to bookkeeping and HR operations with attention to detail and confidentiality.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Experience with accounting software such as QuickBook, familiarity with accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits &amp; credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.</li><li>Strong understanding of financial concepts including balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.</li><li>Proficiency in payroll processing and tax experience related to payroll taxes is preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication skills to support team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
