Location: Buffalo Grove (In-Person)Pay: Starting at $25/hour (based on students per lesson)Job Type: Contract (1099) / Part-timeAbout the RoleWe&rsquo;re a learning center in Buffalo Grove looking for an energetic, patient English teacher to work with non-native English speaking students (ages 5&ndash;14). You&rsquo;ll teach small groups and 1:1 sessions using structured lessons focused on speaking, reading, writing, and confidence.What You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>Teach ESL / ELL students ages 5&ndash;14 in small groups and/or 1:1</li><li>Build lessons around conversation, vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, and writing</li><li>Use age-appropriate activities (games, role-play, visuals, phonics, etc.)</li><li>Track progress and give quick feedback to parents (simple notes / updates)</li><li>Keep classes fun, structured, and supportive</li></ul>What We&rsquo;re Looking For<ul><li>Experience teaching kids (classroom, tutoring, learning center, or similar)</li><li>Comfortable teaching non-native students (ESL/ELL experience is a plus)</li><li>Strong communication skills, patience, and positive classroom presence</li><li>Reliable schedule and professional attitude</li><li>Ability to pass a background check (if required)</li></ul>Preferred (Nice to Have):<ul><li>ESL certification, TEFL/TESOL, or education background</li><li>Experience with phonics for younger kids and academic writing for teens</li><li>Bilingual is a plus (not required)</li></ul>Schedule<ul><li>After-school hours and/or weekends (exact schedule flexible)</li><li>Consistent weekly availability preferred</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Starts at $25/hour</li><li>Growth potential based on performance, student load, and experience</li></ul>How to ApplyPlease apply with:<ul><li>Resume</li><li>Short message describing your experience with kids + ESL students</li><li>Availability (days/times)</li></ul>Equal Opportunity We are an equal opportunity workplace and value a welcoming environment for all families.IMPORTANT: This is an Onsite position only!Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hourWork Location: In person
