TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
 
OBJECTIVE: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration and knowledge of payroll processing. The HR Generalist serves as a strategic partner to management and employees, promoting engagement, diversity, and a culture of continuous improvement.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>Previous work experience in Human Resources – minimum of three (3) years</li>
<li>Previous experience in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees.</li>
<li>Previous work experience in the administration of FMLA leave</li>
<li>Requires previous work experience in payroll processing and reporting.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to a part of a team</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to independently complete tasks and keep oneself focused and motivated</li>
<li>Ability to use discretion, be honest, and maintain employee confidentiality.</li>
<li>Competency in Microsoft Office Applications; Excel; Outlook; Word, etc.</li>
<li>Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.</li>
<li>Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.</li>
</ul>
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul>
<li>Performs recruitment activities including advertising or posting job vacancies, both internally and externally, and notifies eligible workers of position availability.</li>
<li>Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings</li>
<li>Collaborates with the Human Resources Manager to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s present and future hiring needs</li>
<li>Oversee all aspects of FMLA such as leave availability and requirements, administering leave correspondence.</li>
<li>Benefits administration – assists all new hires in enrollment of benefits</li>
<li>Benefits administration – arranges and conducts employee information presentations, meetings and enrollments.</li>
<li>Manages the annual open enrollment period during 4th quarter of each year. Arranges for distribution of materials, communication changes to employees, and conducts employee presentations.</li>
<li>Employee engagement activities and events such as: All Star, Corporate Challenge, Safety Week.</li>
<li>Upkeep of filing in proper files of all employee documents (personnel file, payroll files, medical, and disciplinary)</li>
<li>And all other duties as directed by the Human Resources Manager</li>
