<div>Job Summary - Per Diem
Rehabilitation Administrative Assistant (&ldquo;RAA&rdquo;) assists with non-patient care activities such as clerical duties, billing and scheduling on Electronic Medical Record (&ldquo;EMR&rdquo;), industry-standard billing software, patient transportation, and department housekeeping as required. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist, the RAA may also treat patients not under Medicare Part A or Medicare Part B insurance.
Responsibilities and Duties
Essential Responsibilities and Expectations<ul><li>
Under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist, occupational therapist, or speech language pathologist:<ul><li>
Assist with the provision of patient-related services non-Medicare Part A and non-Medicare Part B patients
</li><li>Assist with clerical duties and data entry</li><li>
Assist with inventory control, including linen supply</li><li>
Clean department area (e.g., rehabilitation room) and equipment daily or more frequently as needed.</li><li>
Assist with the transportation of patients</li><li>
Assists with the tracking and follow up of rehab systems in the facility, such as Medicare Part B certifications, basic chart reviews, resident tracking log, verification of treatment minutes from medical charts, falls, splints, and dining rounds</li><li>
Document any treatment in patient&rsquo;s medical records as required when involved with provision of patient-related services</li><li>
Assist with billing activities, including ensuring all proper documentation is submitted to the facility on time</li><li>
Prepare evaluation packets, especially for per diem, registry, and travelers</li><li>
Provide BOM Part B items and diagnoses as required</li><li>
Prepare and track Part B certifications, including ensuring physicians have signed off appropriately</li><li>
Review the 24-hour nursing log</li><li>
Assist in managing EMR documentation, projections, and verification of minutes for PDPM or the current mandated CMS reimbursement system</li></ul></li><li>
Report any problem areas/equipment within each facility to the appropriate supervisor immediately
</li><li>Comply with State Licensing Board of California, Title 22, CMS, and California Labor Board guidelines</li><li>
Comply with Company and facility rules, policies and procedures</li><li>
Comply with all applicable safety rules, policies, and procedures</li><li>
Report to work regularly and on-time
</li></ul>Additional Responsibilities and Expectations<ul><li>
Under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, occupational therapist, or speech language pathologist, provide necessary training and guidance to student interns as assigned, including:<ul><li>
Informing student interns about and ensuring their compliance with Company, facility, state, and federal guidelines, and
</li><li>Completing any paperwork required by the Company or the students&rsquo; academic program
</li></ul></li><li>Assume other duties as assigned</li></ul>

Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds.</li><li>
Ability to stand and/or work 80% of an 8-hour shift</li><li>
Visual and hearing acuity to perform job-related functions</li><li>
Ability to operate standard rehabilitation therapy equipment</li></ul>

Workplace Environment
The job will primarily be working in a skilled nursing facility. This is an active patient care environment. This environment has no unusual exposures, but safety precautions must be taken at all times.
Salary Range: $16.50 to $20.00
