Summary</b>:</p></div><div><p>
The primary responsibility of the Purchasing Associate is to organize, purchase, and track materials and supplies needed to ensure the successful completion of projects. This individual must be a strong problem solver, strong communicator, and demonstrate diligence and urgency with responses to both customers and peers.</p></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>
Essential Functions:</b></p></div><div><p><b>
Level I:</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Orders materials and supplies efficiently, along with ensuring said materials and supplies are ordered accurately and arrive in a timely manner prior to scheduled installation</p></li><li><p>
Runs, addresses, and completes Daily Reports</p></li><li><p>
Organizes and schedules material returns with suppliers, as needed</p></li><li><p>
Coordinates with vendors to determine product availability and terms of sales</p></li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li><p>
Analyzes product and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability</p></li><li><p>
Participates in the development of specifications for products or substitute materials</p></li><li><p>
Coordinates homebuyer material approvals with Design, when applicable</p></li><li><p>
Ensures samples are available for designers and customers, when applicable</p></li><li><p>
Utilizes ERP systems for placing orders, tracking, information gathering and troubleshooting</p></li><li><p>
Ensures all required daily activities are completed in a timely manner with minimal supervision</p></li><li><p>
Follows instructions and responds to management&rsquo;s direction</p></li><li><p>
Takes responsibility for own actions and keeps commitments</p></li><li><p>
Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternative plan of action</p></li><li><p>
Commits to extended work schedules when necessary to reach goals</p></li><li><p>
Attends all required meetings and trainings</p></li><li><p>
Follows all Company policies and procedures</p></li><li><p>

Conducts training of Level I and Level II employees</p></li><li><p>

Takes on special projects</p></li><li><p>
Acts a subject matter/material expert when handling escalated issues</p></li><li><p>

Skills and Qualifications:</b></p></div><div><p><b>
Level I:</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</p></li><li><p>
Strong written and verbal communication skills</p></li><li><p>
Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates, and co-workers</p></li><li><p>
Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner</p></li><li><p>
Proactively identifies, analyzes, addresses, and resolves problem areas, conflicts, and issues</p></li><li><p>
Exhibits sound and accurate judgment</p></li><li><p>
Explains reasoning for decisions, includes appropriate people in decision-making process, and makes timely decisions</p></li><li><p>
Strong organizational skills to ensure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process</p></li><li><p>

Preferred</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience</p></li><li><p>
Material resource planning and/or production control experience with Systems Application Process (SAP)</p></li><li><p>
Bilingual experience preferred, but not required (English/Spanish)</p></li><li><p>
Thorough knowledge of all available products used by the Company as it relates to product installation</p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><p><b>
