Spend your work time on our beautiful campus as one of our Year-Round Campus Safety Officers. This part time role provides a variety of security, safety, and service functions to our campus community on a 24/7 basis. Interact with students and guests from around the world as well as fellow staff and faculty.
This position works Full Time with flexible days and hours, based on business level needs and employee's needs. The wage begins at $16.00 per hour based on experience. Benefits Package included based on the number of hours worked per week. Afternoon shift from 3 pm - 11 pm and midnight shift from 11 pm - 7 am, with the possibility of split shifts if needed.
Major Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Respond to routine and emergency calls for service</li><li>
Provide safety guidance/supervision during severe weather</li><li>
Lock/unlock exterior/interior doors on campus</li><li>
Provide on-campus shuttle service when needed for campers/staff</li><li>
Patrol campus on foot, bicycle, and vehicle</li><li>
Be observant, alert to surroundings, and provide accurate reporting of safety and security concerns</li><li>
Complete written daily/incident reports</li><li>
Enforcement of campus parking and traffic policies</li><li>
Direct traffic during campus events</li><li>
Act as a crossing guard for the safe crossing of visitors, campers, and employees when applicable</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 

Experience and Skills:
Education:<ul><li>
High School diploma or GED required</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
Previous law enforcement experience or security experience preferred.</li></ul>
Equipment Familiarity:<ul><li>
Mac Laptop, Google Suite, MS Office Suite, cell phones and two-way radios.</li></ul>
Certifications, Licenses or Special Training:<ul><li>
Must meet and maintain background screening requirements for as detailed in policy 12.HR.01 Pre-Employment and Employee Background Checks.</li><li>
Valid driver's license and driving record that meets the eligibility requirements of ICA's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).</li></ul>
