<div>The <b>User Experience Research, Director Associate</b> is a senior research leadership role responsible for building and advancing a modern UX research practice across International&rsquo;s expanding portfolio of connected vehicle, digital dealer, and AI‑powered fleet platforms.</div><div></div><div><br>
International is in the middle of a real transformation. The investment is there. What matters now is ensuring these products <i>actually work</i> for the people who rely on them every day&mdash;drivers, fleet operators, and service technicians with real jobs and no patience for broken or frustrating experiences.</div><div>
This role exists to make sure user needs are represented <b>before</b> decisions are locked-in, and not retroactively explained after the fact. It combines hands‑on research execution with people leadership, executive influence, and strategic ownership of how research is practiced in an AI‑shaped product landscape.</div><div></div><div><br>
This position is based at International&rsquo;s corporate headquarters in <b>Lisle, IL</b> (hybrid).</div><div></div><div><b><br>

<p>Responsibilities</p><br>
<br>
<ul><li>Lead and conduct UX research across the full product lifecycle, including:</li><ul><li>
Discovery and generative research</li><li>
Usability testing</li><li>
Journey mapping</li><li>
Postlaunch validation and continuous learning</li></ul><li>
Serve as a hands‑on researcher while simultaneously leading, coaching, and developing a team of researchers and designers&mdash;remaining close to the work as the organization grows.</li><li>
Establish a sustainable research rhythm where insights are delivered continuously and inform decisions <b>before</b> product direction and specifications are finalized.</li><li>
Define and evolve research methodologies for <b>AI‑powered experiences</b>, including conversational interfaces, predictive systems, and agentic workflows, where user behavior and failure modes differ from traditional software.</li><li>
Leverage AI‑assisted research and synthesis tools thoughtfully to accelerate insight generation while maintaining methodological rigor&mdash;understanding where automation helps and where human judgment remains essential.</li><li>
Partner closely with product management, engineering, and design leaders to ensure user insights are represented in strategy discussions, roadmap planning, and execution.</li><li>
Facilitate and present research findings to senior leadership, influencing product direction, prioritization, and business outcomes through clear, evidence‑based storytelling.</li><li>
Own research planning, staffing, and budget management while measuring and communicating the impact of research in terms that resonate with leadership.</li><li>
Champion customer‑centric thinking across the organization, helping embed user perspective into everyday decision‑making and long‑term planning.</li></ul><div><b>

Strong experience influencing senior stakeholders and executives, including the ability to change perspectives through credible, evidence‑based insight.</li><li>
Demonstrated success conducting research in complex, technical, or operational environments.</li><li>
Familiarity with<b> AI‑driven products</b> and an understanding of how AI changes user behavior, failure modes, and research approaches.</li><li>
Experience using or evaluating<b> AI‑assisted research tools</b> (e.g., synthesis platforms and insights acceleration tools), or strong motivation to develop this expertise.</li><li>
Background in B2B, fleet, industrial, automotive, or enterprise platforms is strongly preferred.</li><li>
Experience building or scaling a UX research practice in an organization where one previously did not exist is a plus.</li><li>
Portfolio or case studies that demonstrate hands‑on research leadership, influence on product decisions, and elevation of user experience quality are highly valued.</li></ul>

User Experience Research, Director Associate

<div>Position Overview:
<div>
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven <b>Field Quality Project Manager (FQPM)</b> to lead the charge in identifying, tracking, and coordinating the resolution of quality issues impacting our plants and customers. This role is critical in bridging the gap between Service Organization, Procurement, Engineering teams, and Manufacturing &mdash;ensuring swift and effective responses to customer-impacting concerns.</div><div><br>
As the FQPM, you will manage the full lifecycle of field quality issues, from initial identification to final resolution, while influencing cross-functional teams to take timely, data-driven actions. You will be the voice of the customer, driving improvements in product reliability, safety, and overall customer satisfaction.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Coordinate all Red Arrow activities leading the Chassis/Body(truck and bus) systems:</li><li>
Lead the COL (Customer Online) meetings, presenting new issues and providing updates on ongoing investigations.</li><li>
Define and refine problem statements with support from Service Organization and using data trends such as R/1000 and Cost Per Unit (CPU) metrics.</li><li>
Lead the escalation of issues facing delays or process disagreements to executive forums, with clearly defined support requests.</li><li>
Notify the Product Safety team of any safety or compliance risks identified during field issue investigations.</li><li>
Monitor progress of issues under the Quick Process and lead Round Table discussions when key milestones are missed.</li><li>
Guide the transition of issues from Quick to Heavy Process in the RTM meetings, ensuring investigations are complete and priorities are aligned across engineering, service, supplier quality, and manufacturing.</li><li>
Track the progress of investigations within the Heavy Process and apply project management tools to address delays.</li><li>
Keep the FRAS system updated with current investigation statuses and upcoming milestones.</li><li>
Lead monthly performance reviews and communicate system-level updates to leadership, maintaining key quality metrics, including COL Velocity and Red Arrow Response timelines.</li><li>
Drive the system quality improvement roadmap, reviewing performance against targets and defining new goals.</li><li>
Identify and implement initiatives that reduce issue frequency, improve customer experience, and lower CPU.</li><li>
Support Commercial teams with technical insights during customer and dealer engagements.</li><li>
Maintain alignment with the Service Organization by providing timely updates and adjusting issue priorities as needed.a</li></ul>
