Job Title: Researcher (Qualitative and Data Analysis)

Overview: IBTCI is a US-based development consulting company, seeking a Researcher with strong qualitative and data analytical skills to support our ongoing project for UNICEF evaluation of the maternal and child health handbook (MCH-HB) project in Afghanistan.
Responsibilities 
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Coding of qualitative data in Atlas.ti; development of a codebook (approximately 40 KIIs, could be up to 60 KIIs);</li>
<li>Triangulation of primary qualitative information from KIIs with secondary country health data (health statistics, project reports, relevant documentation etc).</li>
<li>Data analysis, deriving evaluation findings, conclusions and recommendations;</li>
<li>Drafting sections of the final report;</li>
<li>Review the report for analytical accuracy, rigor, depth, and quality.</li>
</ul>
Qualification Requirements:
<ul><li>5 years of experience in qualitative research/evaluations</li>
<li>Skills in Atlas.ti</li>
<li>Strong sectoral experience in health.</li>
<li>Strong writing, research, and organizational abilities.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li>
<li>Fluency in English (oral and written) required; fluency in another language preferred. Oral and written fluency in English required, fluency in another language preferred.</li>
</ul>
Education: Bachelor's or master&rsquo;s degree in Health, Social sciences, or a related field, such as international development, economics, political science, or public administration
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
<ul><li>Experience in Afghanistan is preferred</li>
</ul>
Working Environment: Work is typically performed remotely.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

- November-January, 2025 (Coding of KIIs - November, 2025; Data analysis/ triangulation - December, 2025; Report preparation with the team - January, 2025).
