Join to apply for the Engineer, Cost Control II, I role at International Maritime Industries Description JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE: Ensure that all project Cost Control related activities are carried out in accordance with Company policies and Procedures. Key Accountabilities <ul> <li>Develop systems and procedures for Cost Control Function (including interface with ERP team during establishment / troubleshooting phase) and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from Suppliers, Vendors and Subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.</li> <li>Understand cost estimates including material, manpower, Asset Management & Marine Operation. Coordinate with the Business Development team whenever discrepancies are noticed.</li> <li>Upload all relevant project cost and expenses data in the designated project management software with clear schedules of when the expenses are likely to be incurred.</li> <li>Create a process of information flow with respect to each expense head (such as material, manpower, AMMO, PMT etc.).</li> <li>Monitor cost performance and generate variance / exception reports as and when required. Present the same to Project manager and obtain approval to distribute further as per distribution matrix.</li> <li>Be responsible to assess potential Change Management (Internal / Customer / Supplier). Coordinate with the project stake holders on the same.</li> <li>Participate in the project review meetings and provide any cost related data as and when required by the project stake holders.</li> <li>Update Project budget, margin & invoices while comparing them with the baseline budgeted cost.</li> <li>Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by head of department.</li> <li>Maintenance activities and practices in assets of the company is an advantage.</li> </ul> Qualifications & Experience Education <ul> <li>Bachelor's Engineering Degree (or Equivalent)</li> </ul> Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations) <ul> <li>PMP Certificate preferable (but not essential)</li> </ul> Requirements <ul> <li>Excellent knowledge MS Office (excel, word, power point etc.), Primavera P6 preferable.</li> <li>Knowledge of Planning measurers.</li> <li>Understanding of Asset Management & ERP systems, and ISO Standards.</li> <li>Analytical</li> <li>Numerical</li> <li>Commercial insight</li> <li>Rule consciousness</li> <li>Ability to lead.</li> <li>Team Working</li> <li>Decision making</li> <li>Alertness and attention to details</li> <li>Multi-tasking</li> <li>Anticipating / Solving problems</li> <li>Willing to work extra hours.</li> <li>Diplomatic</li> <li>Flexible</li> </ul> Experience <ul> <li>Minimum 3-9 years of experience preferable similar industry.</li> </ul> Languages <ul> <li>Fluent in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking)</li> <li>Arabic is not essential but could be advantageous.</li> </ul> Seniority level <ul> <li>Mid-Senior level</li> </ul> Employment type <ul> <li>Full-time</li> </ul> Job function <ul> <li>Management and Manufacturing</li> </ul> Industries <ul> <li>Maritime Transportation</li> </ul><img src="https://www.jobg8.com/Tracking.aspx?8dbBRMnE5BKjoRS9g23%2bjAwn3V7SuUa5n" width="0" height="0" />
