<div><b>In this role, you will be responsible for:</b></div><br>
<div></div>
<ul>
<li>Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.</li>
<li>Technical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening.</li>
<li>Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.</li>
<li>Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.</li>
<li>Compliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.</li>
<li>Flexibility: Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.</li></ul><br>

Education &amp; Certification:</b></div>

<li>Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training</li>

<div>Strong preference for candidates with a consistent employment history and minimal career gaps</div>

<p><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Laboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.</li>
<li>High level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs.</li>
<li>Regular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield).</li>
<li>Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.</li>
<li>Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.</li>
<li>Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.</li>
</ul>
<div><b>OSHA Category:</b> This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.</div><br>

Phlebotomist/Processor

<div><p>The supervisor is responsible for oversite and quality of all assigned patient service centers and embedded team members. This includes but is not limited to all elements of the clinical laboratory operations from point of patient reception, specimen collection, specimen processing, transportation and reporting for all entities owned or affiliated with Interpath Laboratory.</p>

</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3>
<ul><li>Builds efficient work schedules that balance client, Interpath, and team member needs. Provides back-up processing and courier coverage around the region when necessary due to people shortages. Occasionally, resolve issues during evening and weekend hours.</li>
<li>Develop, monitor, and manage approved budget using available data from accounting office. This includes but is not limited to thoroughly reviewing all expenses (invoices) for the assigned region.</li>
<li>Educates and inspires the team to understand and buy-in to Interpath culture of appreciation and quality. Participates in quality projects as directed or initiated.</li>
<li>Visits designated sites to regularly engage with and monitor team performance.</li>
<li>Facilitates team members receiving the training, development, and resources they need to effectively perform Interpath services.</li>
<li>Ensures timely completion of job performance evaluations of direct reports by monitoring productivity, attendance, quality, and other important job competencies.</li>
<li>Serves as lead problem solver of issues that arise in assigned operational areas and effectively implements adjustments as needed to ensure client, Interpath, and team member barriers to high quality work are removed or minimized. Effectively utilizes HC1 or other means of documentation of issues when appropriate.</li>
<li>Makes timely requests for people resources using Interpath requisition process. Efficiently screens resumes and candidate applications using Interpath applicant tracking system for Interpath aligned skills and characteristics.</li>
<li>Facilitates screening phone calls with candidates and schedules and leads in-person interviews with those that advance through hiring process due to alignment with Interpath values.</li>
<li>Proactively leads coaching and development conversations with new and existing team members.</li>
<li>Effectively monitors supplies for assigned sites and locations to ensure reasonable (not excess) levels of resources are available to team members. Oversees ordering through Interpath ordering system &ndash; ensuring purchasing procedures are followed.</li>
<li>Provides excellent customer service to all stakeholders in alignment with Interpath's mission and values.</li>
<li>Establishes and communicates most efficient courier routes that ensure specimen stability on way to laboratory for processing.</li>
<li>Professionally monitors and responds to emails, text messages and phone calls in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Maintains compliance with all company policies, protocols, and procedures.</li>
<li>Understands and adheres to HIPAA policies, procedures, and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.</li>
<li>Attends work regularly; arrives on time.</li>
<li>Other duties may be assigned as the needs of the company and position evolve.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<ul>
<li>High School Graduate or Equivalent.</li>
<li>Demonstrated proficiency as a professional communicator both verbally and in writing.</li>
<li>No less than two years successful experience as a Phlebotomist/Processor or other related assignment.</li>
<li>
<div>At least 2 years of demonstrated AI use and application in a professional capacity.</div>
</li>
<li>Reliable transportation to and from work.</li>
<li>Eligibility for necessary security clearances.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><br>
<ul>
<li>1-2 Years successful pre-analytical supervisory experience.</li>
<li>Experience as a lead or trainer in the pre-analytical side of business.</li>
</ul>

<li>Ability to effectively communicate constructive feedback in a professional and effective manner.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>

<p><b>Work Environment and Physical Requirements</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Occasionally works in an office setting; primarily driving and then walking around clinical areas of laboratory and medical offices.</li>
<li>Must be confident driving in inclement weather conditions.</li>
<li>Must be able to sit, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and stoop while performing essential job functions.</li>
<li>Manual dexterity for typing, 10-key work, and telephone use.</li>
<li>Must be willing and able to provide on-the-floor support and coverage at various sites, including stepping in to assist with pre-analytical operations as needed to ensure continuity of service.</li>
</ul>
