Intrepid Solutions has a need for a Communications / Network Engineer to support our US Army TENCAP client as they enable the Army to rapidly exploit and influence national capabilities and architectures in Alexandria, VA.</div>
Responsibilities:
<p>
The Communications Engineer shall provide technical guidance, documentation, and oversight of the following tasks throughout the system development life cycle:</p><br>

Designing and developing communication systems</li><li>
Analyzing and troubleshooting communication network issues</li><li>
Coordinating with stakeholders to meet communication needs</li><li>
Implementing new technologies and upgrade existing systems</li><li>
Ensuring network security and integrity</li><li>
Creating technical documentation and user manuals</li><li>
Performing network performance analysis and optimization</li><li>
Conducting research to stay updated with industry trends</li><li>
Providing technical support and maintenance</li><li>
Evaluating and selecting appropriate hardware and software</li><li>
Managing project timelines and deliverables</li><li>
Training and mentoring junior engineers</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:</b></div><ul><li>
This position anticipates standard work hours, Monday-Friday and will operate 100% onsite.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
TRAVEL:</b></div><ul><li>
Up to 25% OCONUS travel.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

 <b>CLEARANCE:</b></div><ul><li>
Active TS/SCI clearance required. We are unable to provide sponsorship of initial clearance or upgrade of existing clearance.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
EDUCATION:</b></div><ul><li>
Desired: Master&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field
</li><li>Required: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field +10 years of work experience OR 15 years of work experience</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</b></div><ul><li>
10+ years of with satellite, cellular or other digital communications systems</li><li>
Familiarity with 5G and IoT technologies</li><li>
Strong understanding of communication protocols and network architectures</li><li>
Proficiency with network analysis tools and software</li><li>
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards</li><li>
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities</li><li>
Strong project management skills</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>
Ability to work independently and in a team</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>
Experience with CFE (Common Framework Environment) preferred</li></ul><div><br>
