<b>About the Opportunity</b><p>
The HR Manager plays a pivotal role in driving effective human resources practices across the organization by managing day-to-day HR operations, supporting employee lifecycle processes, and executing strategic initiatives in collaboration with the HR Director. This role combines leadership in core HR functions with hands-on management of compliance, benefits, employee relations, recruitment, and operational support tasks. The HR Manager will also act as a key liaison between employees and leadership to maintain a positive, compliant, and productive workplace culture.</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li>
Support implementation of org-wide HR strategy and culture initiatives set by the HR Director</li><li>
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations</li><li>
Manage routine employee relations issues; escalate complex matters to HR Director</li><li>
Attend disciplinary meetings alongside school leaders to ensure fairness, consistency, and documentation</li><li>
Assist in preparation and submission of state, licensure, and compliance reports</li><li>
Track FMLA, leave of absence, and ADA processes</li><li>
Conduct onboarding and offboarding processes including background checks and orientation</li><li>
Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure a positive candidate and new hire experience</li><li>
Maintain and audit staff licensure and certification records</li><li>
Support employee enrollment in credentialing and licensure programs as directed</li><li>
Process open enrollment and ongoing benefits administration</li><li>
Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries</li><li>
Maintain and update HRIS records</li><li>
Monitor daily attendance and generate daily and weekly attendance reports and identify patterns or concerns and flag issues to the HR Director</li><li>
Support time tracking compliance and follow-up with employees and managers</li><li>
Maintain and update HRIS records</li><li>
Run regular reports on attendance, training, and HR metrics</li><li>
Support audits and data reviews for leadership and compliance needs</li><li>
Coordinate logistics for HR-related training</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Required Skills &amp; Abilities</b></h3><p>
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who is looking to build a career in Human Resources, take initiative, learn and grow. Specific requirements are:</p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required)</li><li>
3&ndash;5 years of progressively responsible experience in HR administration or management</li><li>
Experience in the education or nonprofit sector is a plus</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>
High level of integrity and confidentiality</li><li>
Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through</li><li>
Proficient in Google Suite and HRIS systems (ADP WorkforceNow preferred)</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Basic understanding of employment law and HR best practices</li></ul><p><b>
