<div><p>Assist with the supervision of the Library, including maintaining a productive study environment and ensuring adequate evening student worker coverage of the library&rsquo;s Help Desk and Tutoring Center. Provide general reference services to faculty, staff and students. Assist with technology questions and troubleshoot issues with library equipment. Provide supervision of evening student worker staff in the library and tutoring center.<br>

Position runs August through May.<br>
Work schedule is Monday to Thursday 3:00 &ndash; 9:00 pm.</p></div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Job Duties</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><ul><li>Assist with the day-to-day organization, security, and appearance of the Library, ensuring that it is a welcoming study environment for students, faculty, and staff.</li><li>
Responsible for ensuring the appropriate staff and student worker coverage of the Library and Tutoring Center during evening hours. Provide training and support to student worker staff.</li><li>
Provide assistance to users in operating and troubleshooting the Library computers, laptops, printers, equipment and other technology.</li><li>
Provide general reference assistance to library users via multiple mediums, including phone, Zoom, email and in-person.</li><li>
Assist with publicity and promotion of reference, research, and learning support services.</li><li>
Assist with circulation of library technology and ensure items are returned and accounted for.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><p></p>

<p></p><div><div><ul><li>Associate's degree or two years toward a bachelor's degree.</li><li>
Successful completion of Composition I &amp; II, or equivalent.</li><li>
Strong database searching skills are necessary, particularly with integrated library systems and discovery service.</li><li>
Knowledge of information literacy skills for higher education and loan and copyright policies and procedures.</li><li>
Strong computer and technological skills are necessary.</li><li>
Knowledge of MLA and APA styles.</li><li>
Experience effectively managing student staff.</li><li>
Demonstrates sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and disabled backgrounds of community college students.</li><li>
Excellent customer service skills required.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, to meet deadlines, to maintain and access paper and electronic files, to produce error-free final products, and to manage time and output.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate in both small and large group settings and with diverse groups of people including co-workers, students, business contacts and at various levels from front-line to administration.</li><li>
Illustrates a history of successfully collaborating with coworkers on a regular basis to achieve common goals.</li><li>
Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li>

 This position is responsible for teaching welding classes face-to-face. Must evaluate and report student performance and progress in courses in accordance with college and division policies and procedures.

Expertise should include GMAW, SMAW, Oxy-Acetylene, and GTAW welding as well as cutting processes, safety, and blueprint reading.

   Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. Driver&rsquo;s License and good driving record.
