<div>Title: Technology Account Manager (New Business)

Department: Sales

Reports To: Regional Sales Director 

Job Summary:

Do you have a successful background selling technology services, large scale services/products, or software as a service? 
As a Technology Account Manager at IP Pathways, you are responsible for developing strategic solutions to present to IP Pathways' prospects. Your overall focus areas will be in prospecting, developing business, developing proposals for presentation to potential new customers, and selling products and services. You will utilize your excellent relationship building, negotiating, and presentation skills to be successful in this role. 


Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Account Manager are to work directly with future customers to build relationships and capture sales opportunities, prospect new leads, and to work effectively across functions with other IP Pathways employees. Specific areas of responsibility include:
<ul>
<li>Prospect for new opportunities in the assigned territory. 
</li>
<li>Schedule and attend sales call appointments with customers. Other IP Pathways&rsquo; sales team members may also participate in the sales call to help qualify the opportunity.</li>
<li>Determining if a customer has a valid need for IP Pathways products and services.</li>
<li>Determining acceptance criteria that a customer could use to determine the success of an evaluation test project.</li>
<li>Utilizing a consultative approach, discuss business issues with customer and develop a formal quote, a written sales proposal, or a formal sales presentation addressing their business needs.</li>
<li>Develop an account management plan to sell to customers based on their business need. 
</li>
<li>Recommend marketing strategies for your specific territory.</li>
<li>Provide status information to your manager including forecast/pipeline information.</li>
<li>Provide, or facilitate training opportunities for your accounts.</li>
<li>Identify IP Pathways customer references that can be utilized when reference selling.</li></ul> 


 Job Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Responsible for a specific territory and the development of this territory.</li>
<li>This individual effectively works with senior internal personnel within the function, some employees in other functions that support the sales effort, and has direct customer contact.</li>
<li>Little management direction is provided on day-to-day work; general instructions are given on new assignments; as well as review of activities and priorities.</li>
<li>The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert and contributes proactively to sales team efforts and positively influences decisions.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple customers simultaneously while prospecting for new opportunities.</li></ul> 


 Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>1 to 3 years of sales experience is preferred.</li>
<li>Experience selling in a B2B capacity.</li>
<li>Comfortable working with longer sales cycles</li>
<li>Previous experience closing potentially large deals</li>
<li>Previous experience using a CRM and working a sales pipeline</li></ul>

Compensation and Benefits:

Minimum Requirements
<ul>
<li>Associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Systems or certifications in specific IT subject matter preferred, but not required</li>
<li>At least 3 years of experience supporting or implementing technology solutions</li>
<li>Experience with the following technologies preferred</li>
<li>Enterprise storage systems</li>
<li>Virtualization technologies</li>
<li>Microsoft server operating systems</li>
<li>Microsoft server solutions including Exchange Server and SQL Server</li>
<li>Specifically, experience with NetApp and VMware</li>
<li>Cisco and Aruba networking background is a plus</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Excellent ability to multitask and maintain high levels of quality</li>
<li>Must be able to work as a valued member in a team environment</li></ul> 


Physical Abilities Required

Ability to rack servers, switches, and other datacenter equipment.
