We are looking for a talented <b>Automation Project Manager</b> to join our dedicated team at our office located in <b>Cary, North Carolina</b>.</div><div></div><div><br>
In this role, you will assist clients in strategic evaluations to develop concepts supported by engineering studies for expanding, improving, updating, or automating existing facilities. Additionally, you will work with clients, other IPS disciplines, equipment vendors, contractors, and integrators to develop complete Automation solutions.</div><div></div><div><br>
Additional Responsibilities</div><ul><li>
Consult on the proper adoption of the ISA S95 levels to meet the client&rsquo;s needs now and in the future.</li><li>
Coordinate with project managers to determine project scope, complexity, and schedule for project development.</li><li>
Write the scope of work for process, utilities, and manufacturing controls based on preliminary reviews with the client.</li><li>
Review and advise clients on design decisions and capture all pertinent decisions in project reports.</li><li>
Actively collaborate with the process design and project teams to support the execution of successful project studies.</li><li>
Manage and delegate tasks to 4+ project members to meet project scope, schedule, and deadlines.</li><li>
Develop the design and specifications for DCS, PLC, and SCADA-based process control systems for IPS clients and projects.</li><li>
Perform automation-related job functions as assigned, including I/O lists, Instrumentation lists, and the specification of instrumentation and control element.</li><li>
Support IQ/OQ development and participate in systems analysis, validation, and verification.</li><li>
Work with end users and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to coordinate the application of automation products.</li><li>
Identify, qualify, and collaborate with third-party system integrators as necessary to support project and company business objectives.</li><li>
Demonstrate subject matter expertise by developing department standards and improving existing work practices.</li><li>
Progressive ability and aptitude to develop and mentor junior staff members.</li><li>
Identify Automation deliverables in accordance with the project scope with the Project Management team.</li></ul>
Qualifications &amp; Requirements:
<ul><li><div>
Bachelor's degree in engineering - ME/EE/ChemE/Automation/Manufacturing or equivalent.</div></li><li><div>
Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.</div></li><li><div>
Experienced with ISA standards and the interpretation of P&amp;I drawings.</div></li><li><div>
3+ years of experience with industrial process control systems, including DCS, PLC, and SCADA-based systems or pharmaceutical process instrumentation.</div></li><li><div>
Experience with the development of control system network architectures.</div></li><li>
Experience with the development of the interfaces between process control systems and business network architectures.</li><li>
Experience with the security separation between the process control systems and the business network.</li><li>
Experience with the development of cGMP and GAMP automation lifecycle documents.</li><li>
Excellent interpersonal skills and presence to deal effectively with senior-level contacts.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills.</li></ul><div>
Preferred Qualifications</div><ul><li>
Active participation in relevant professional associations.</li><li>
Registered Professional Engineer.</li></ul><div>
Physical Demands</div><ul><li>
Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.</li><li>
Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.</li><li>
Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.</li><li>
Must be able to climb ladders as necessary.</li></ul><div>
Work Environment</div><ul><li>
This position will have 100% travel, or as required by the assigned project.</li><li>
Position may be assigned to a client site for an extended period.</li><li>
Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client&rsquo;s location is possible, depending on the assignment.</li><li>

You will visit construction sites and will be required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.</li><li>
Must have access to reliable transportation.</li><li>
Must have the ability to travel and commute on a daily or routine basis.</li><li>
Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying weather.</li></ul><div>

This position is a safety-sensitive position.</li><li>
The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other &quot;non-administrative&quot; areas.</li></ul><div>
