We are looking for a talented <b>EHS Specialist</b> to join our dedicated team at our office in <b>Emeryville, California</b>.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Project located in Vacaville, CA.</b></div><div></div><div><br>
In this role, you will administer the EHS program, ensuring safety compliance by the project team and all subcontractors working at the site.</div><div></div><div><br>
Additional Responsibilities</div><ul><li>
Responsible for jobsite safety oversight.</li><li>
Participate in kick-off meetings to ensure contractors are aware of project-specific EHS requirements</li><li>
Conduct safety orientation for all new workers</li><li>
Consults daily with the IPS Superintendent regarding the coordination of safety activities and High Risk Work Permits</li><li>
Review contractor JSA&rsquo;s for compliance with client /IPS requirements</li><li>
Assist in the review of daily Safe Plan of Action (SPA) documents performed by subcontractors and ensure their quality and communication are suitable for the tasks described</li><li>
Ensure contractor compliance to the project safety plan, including but not limited to safety submittals, training and equipment inspection, and other documentation</li><li>
Educates and advises the project team on safety guidelines and policies to ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and Local regulations and client requirements.</li><li>
Inspect the job site regularly and record observations in Procore.</li><li>
Assist the Superintendent in managing the IPS SOR program</li><li>
Administer safety incentive programs</li><li>
Investigate all incidents and complete all paperwork and reporting required</li><li>
Maintain safety documentation and records on the project.</li><li>
These records include JSAs, Toolbox Talks, Chemical SDS, Safety Inspections, Safety permits, and any other records that may be generated on the project involving safety.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><div>
The salary offered for this role is between $87,000 and $116,000, but the actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, and education.</div>
Qualifications &amp; Requirements:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, preferably in Construction Safety or Safety Management.</li><li>
2-5 years of construction safety experience with some pharma background.</li></ul><div>
Physical Demands</div><ul><li>
Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.</li><li>
Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.</li><li>
Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.</li><li>
Must be able to climb ladders as necessary.</li></ul><div>
Work Environment</div><ul><li>
Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying working conditions.</li><li>
Must be able to adhere to strict cleanroom gowning protocol.</li></ul><div>
Travel</div><ul><li>
You will travel 40% of the time, or as necessary to complete duties.</li><li>
You will visit Client sites and will be required to adhere to stated safety rules.</li><li>
You may be assigned to a client for an extended period (1-2 years).</li><li>
Overnight travel is possible.</li><li>
You will focus on construction field activity, and office time will be limited.</li><li>
You will visit construction sites and will be required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.</li></ul><div>
Safety</div><ul><li>
This position is a safety-sensitive position.</li><li>
The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other &quot;non-administrative&quot; areas.</li></ul><div>
All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with <b>video required</b>.</div>
