As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to ensure efficient operation of our outpatient center. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Interview patients and document basic medical history</li><li>
Take vitals pre/post-op and document findings in their patient chart</li><li>
Organize, authorize, and schedule appointments for referrals</li><li>
Send prescriptions electronically, by fax, or by verbally calling them in</li><li>
Assist during medical examinations</li><li>
Triage patient calls, assess the problem, consult with the physician</li><li>
Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms</li><li>
Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments</li><li>
Other duties as assigned</li></ul>
Skills:<ul><li>
Proven working experience as a medical assistant</li><li>
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems</li><li>
Experience with procedural assistance</li><li>
Strong knowledge working in a sterile field</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
2 years Medical Assistant experience</li><li>
BLS Certification (Or Willingness to obtain)</li><li>
English</li><li>
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (Preferred)</li></ul>
