Ability to instruct and to evaluate the work of lower level employees. Ability to perform caseworker functions within structured time frames. Ability to use email, database entry proficiency skills, computer literate performance, ability to file electronic documents, printer/scanner knowledge, proficiency in computer usage skills. Knowledge of NCFAST.
 
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
 The caseworker’s primary purpose is to take and process applications and/or maintain a caseload in Family & Children’s Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, or Food and Nutrition Services programs. The caseworker will also take and process Energy applications as assigned. The caseworker will be working in NCFAST to gather data and input into the web data-based system. The caseworker will determine eligibility during the application process by obtaining all pertinent data concerning the client’s family composition, financial, employment, and health status in order to determine eligibility. Additionally, the caseworker will be responsible for maintaining a caseload for continued eligibility in NC Medicaid or FNS by using the same standards of obtaining pertinent information. The caseworker will also be responsible to react to all changes that a client may report in between recertifications.
