 THE HIGH LEVEL

The candidate will support break/fix tickets and service requests throughout the Richmond Metro Area. You will also be responsible for maintaining, updating, and documenting inventory in real time.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
<ul>
<li>Provide technical / IT support for Commonwealth of Virginia</li>
<li>Responsible for system updates, ticketing and asset management</li>
<li>Perform break/fix software &amp; hardware support (including OEM-certified warranty repair)</li>
<li>Execution of asset disposal activities</li>
<li>Support of end users that remotely access services (including shipping replacement devices, leveraging 3rd party hardware repair or other forms of onsite support)</li>
<li>Provide support remotely via remote administration tools as well as onsite / desk side</li>
<li>Imaging of Commonwealth devices</li>
<li>Provide support for Windows operating system, software/application support, troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, system restorations, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to provide after-hours and weekend support (When needed)</li>
</ul>
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE 

<ul>
<li>You have 5 plus years of experience in IT support.</li>
<li>Extensive experience troubleshooting hardware on laptops, desktops, and tablets</li>
<li>Experience and understanding of command prompts</li>
<li>Experience with writing, reviewing and developing scripts</li>
<li>A valid driver's license</li>
<li>A self-driven attitude</li>
<li>A keen eye for recognizing problems and pushing resolutions</li>
<li>A critical thinker who can think outside the box</li>
<li>Ability to communicate complicated resolutions to everyday end users</li>
<li>Teamwork mentality and professional demeanor</li>
<li>Ability to empathize with customers</li>
</ul>

Travel varies depending on tickets and technical skillset.
