<div>Purpose of Position/Summary:
Irvington Community Middle School (ICMS) is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, and enthusiastic teacher to become part of the team of outstanding educators on staff. Teachers at ICMS work collaboratively to provide an appropriate and challenging learning environment while building relationships with students. 
 
Essential Duties: 
 
<ul><li>Develop and teach daily instruction in a flexible, inclusive program that meets both the academic and functional needs of students.</li><li>
Implement behavioral plans, positive reinforcement, and service learning projects.</li><li>
Utilize a variety of instructional methodologies including learning styles, hands-on, differentiation, and project-based experiences.</li><li>
Work collaboratively and effectively with students, staff, and parents.</li><li>
Utilize differential instructional strategies in all subject areas.</li><li>
Seek and utilize community resources.</li><li>
Analyze and evaluate student data to address specific learning needs.</li><li>
Document ongoing skill development and use this data to adjust instruction.</li><li>
Collaborate with school counselors, school psychologists, instructional coaches and staff.</li><li>
Attend professional meetings, write reports, and maintain records.</li><li>
Conduct case conferences to address the academic, social, and emotional progress for compliance with school district, state and federal guidelines.</li><li>
Monitor and document progress on annual goals for each student every grading period.</li></ul> 
JOB REQUIREMENTS 
 
<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Education is required</li><li>
Valid Special Education Licensure in Indiana is required</li><li>
Knowledge of Indiana IEP is required</li><li>
Previous experience in Special Education is preferred</li></ul></div>
