Role OverviewIslamic Aid is a humanitarian charity with operations in Pakistan, seeks a skilled Salesforce Developer to be based at the Children's Hospital, Lahore. This role manages and enhances our donations management system powered by Salesforce, handling global donations securely. The platform integrates payment gateways (PayPal, PayPal Card, Stripe, WorldPay, SmartDebit), real-time data verification web services (postal addresses, mobile numbers, email validation), Royal Mail's hybrid mail remote printing API, Twilio for SMS and WhatsApp, SendGrid for email, and our WordPress-based website (islamicaid.com). Reporting to the IT Director, you will ensure system reliability, scalability, and compliance while overseeing ongoing donations administration and transactional/campaign communications via email, SMS, WhatsApp, and post. This supports health, education, and relief projects in a dynamic non-profit environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>System Development and Maintenance: Design, develop, and optimise Salesforce custom objects, workflows, Apex triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components for donations processing, donor management, and reporting.</li><li>Integration Expertise: Maintain and troubleshoot integrations using Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP), MuleSoft or similar middleware, ensuring secure data flow with payment processors, verification services (e.g., Experian), Royal Mail API, Twilio (SMS/WhatsApp), and SendGrid.</li><li>Website and Data Sync: Implement bidirectional synchronisation between Salesforce and WordPress CMS via APIs or plugins for real-time donation tracking and updates.</li><li>Donations Administration: Manage workflows for donation processing, reconciliation, donor updates, and compliance with fundraising regulations.</li><li>Transactional and Campaign Communications: Oversee multi-channel delivery&mdash;email (SendGrid), SMS/WhatsApp (Twilio), postal (Royal Mail API)&mdash;for receipts, acknowledgements, and campaigns, ensuring GDPR/PCI DSS adherence.</li><li>Security and Compliance: Conduct audits, enforce encryption, and monitor for vulnerabilities to protect donor data.</li><li>Performance and Scalability: Use Salesforce Health Check and tools like New Relic to optimise for high-volume peaks and global access.</li><li>Testing and Documentation: Lead testing with Provar/Selenium; document code, integrations, and processes.</li><li>Collaboration and Support: Work agilely with marketing, finance, and operations; provide L2/L3 support via Jira.</li><li>Innovation and Reporting: Build dashboards with Einstein Analytics; explore Salesforce Flow and AI for automation.</li></ul>Required Qualifications and Skills<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.</li><li>Salesforce Certified Developer (Platform Developer I/II) or Administrator; Nonprofit Cloud experience preferred.</li><li>5+ years in Salesforce development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL).</li><li>Expertise in API integrations with payment gateways, Twilio, SendGrid, Royal Mail API, and verification services.</li><li>Strong knowledge of WordPress APIs, JavaScript, SQL, Git; agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).</li><li>Must have in-depth understanding of SMS, email, and WhatsApp deliverability, including best practices for spam prevention, sender reputation management, compliance with regulations like GDPR and CAN-SPAM, and optimisation for high open/click-through rates using tools like Twilio, SendGrid, and analytics platforms.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and ethical data handling in non-profits.</li></ul>Preferred Experience<ul><li>Charity sector work with high-volume donations or CRM migrations.</li><li>Royal Mail API/hybrid mail; GDPR/PCI DSS/WCAG compliance.</li><li>MuleSoft/Boomi for integrations; multi-currency systems.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs500,000.00 per monthEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Salesforce: 5 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>English (Preferred)</li><li>Urdu (Preferred)</li></ul>Location:<ul><li>Lahore (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
