Founded in 2014, with roots dating back to 2008, the company is known for its ultra-premium cultivation and extraction processes and is expanding into Arizona.The Post-Extraction Technician is a mid-level position on the Extraction Team in the lab facility of Green Dot Labs. The primary objective is to formulate, refine, craft, and monitor cannabis concentrates,in accordance with SOP&rsquo;s and under the direction of the Extraction Supervisor. This position is responsible for guiding the concentrates through the pipeline, from the &lsquo;Post-Extraction stage&rsquo; to the &lsquo;pre-packaging stage&rsquo; and to take the appropriate actions necessary to assure quality standards are met. The product will generally be in ovens, but may also be in freezers, refrigerators, or on storage racks. Additionally, this position may be called on to assist with other tasks including, but not limited to packing columns, data entry in Operational Logs, training of other lab staff, the extraction of medical and recreational cannabis, or in monitoring the extraction machines during the Extraction Technicians&rsquo; breaks.Compliance:<ul><li>Abide by all current City and State regulations, Labor laws, Safety regulations and Green Dot</li></ul>Labs Policies, Procedures and Guidelines<ul><li>Understand and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines (PPE, OSHA, Fire, HazMat, etc.)</li></ul>Post-Extraction Duties:<ul><li>Adhere to all SOPs and Post-Extraction protocols</li><li>Whip badder; Ensure a wet texture (when the cultivar&rsquo;s characteristics allow)</li><li>Formulate vape cartridge concentrate</li><li>Release pressure from concentrate vessels and flip shatter slabs</li><li>Observe and record, when directed, the reaction/activity of the concentrates in the ovens, cooling equipment or racks</li><li>Confirm and record weight of production runs</li><li>Rate batches of concentrate based on GDL&rsquo;s internal quality control standards</li><li>Notify Management of QC concerns</li><li>Ensure concentrates meet internal residual solvent standard (ND or Trace, nothing above 500 ppm) prior to submittal for contaminant testing</li><li>Document notes and observations on Work Orders and in Operational Logs</li><li>Adopt changes to SOP&rsquo;s as well as new techniques as directed by Extraction Supervisor</li><li>Follow Research &amp; Development directives</li><li>Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment</li><li>Notify the Extraction Supervisor of problems or challenges related to the pipeline or products</li><li>Alert the Extraction Supervisor of maintenance issues related to equipment</li><li>Proactively notify the Extraction Supervisor when supplies need to be restocked</li></ul>Other Duties:<ul><li>Opening and closing duties including but not limited to arming/disarming alarm system, reconciling Operation Logs, starting/ending operation specific processes, etc.</li><li>Regularly perform cleaning and maintenance on all lab equipment</li><li>Pack, empty and clean extraction columns, as needed</li><li>Help compliantly dispose of green waste, as needed</li><li>Assist other departments, as requested</li><li>Help with the Transfer process, as needed</li><li>Aid the Extraction Supervisor with the training of Extraction staff, as needed</li><li>Assist in the bubble washing process, as needed</li><li>Freeze drying bubble hash and filling rosin bags, as needed</li><li>Press rosin in the Pure Pressure Rosin Press, as needed</li></ul>Work Environment:● Approximately 40-hour work week● Overtime hours as requested/approved by the Extraction Supervisor● Working hours will primarily be spent in the Lab, with occasional interdepartmental collaboration● Moderate physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, sitting, and walking is required on a daily basis● Safety gear and PPE such as glasses, gloves, face masks, hair nets, ear protection and safety footwear must be worn when applicableRequired Personal Characteristics:● Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines with competing priorities● Continually exhibit honesty and integrity● Punctual and reliable● Possess a passion for the cannabis movement● Work well in a team environment● Able to execute tasks independently and thoroughly● Communicate effectively and efficiently● Hold self and others accountable● Driven to excel and seek constant improvement● Organized and familiar with basic data collection methodsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:● Possess physical dexterity necessary to assemble small and delicate products● Familiarity with all lab safety procedures and guidelines (PPE, OSHA, Fire and HazMat)● Detail oriented● Able to identify problems or malfunctions with equipment● Exhibit ability to work cautiously but efficiently● Possess physical strength and stamina required to stand, sit or walk for long periods of time● Ability to lift 50 poundsEducation, Experience, &amp;
