We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to own and strengthen the day-to-day financial operations of a growing technology and infrastructure services firm. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, project-based environment and enjoys both rolling up their sleeves and contributing to higher-level financial insight.<br>
</div><div>
The Accounting Manager is responsible for core accounting functions, cash flow visibility, and project-based financial tracking, while providing leadership with timely, accurate, and actionable financial information.<br>
</div><div>
This is a high-impact role with a clear path to grow into a Controller position as the company continues to scale.<br>
</div><div>
This position is primarily in-office, with occasional visits to project sites as needed, and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.<br>
</div><div><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></div><div><b><i>
Financial Operations:</i></b></div><ul><li>
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks.</li><li>
Prepare monthly financial statements and internal management reports.</li><li>
Develop and manage budgets, monitoring performance and identifying variances.</li><li>
Provide financial analysis and reporting to leadership, delivering timely and actionable insights.</li></ul><div><b><i>
Cash Flow and AR/AP Management:</i></b></div><ul><li>
Own and manage daily cash balances and short-term cash flow forecasting to ensure ongoing liquidity and operational stability.</li><li>
Proactively manage accounts receivable, including aging, collections strategy, and reducing DSO.</li><li>
Establish and maintain disciplined billing and collections processes to accelerate cash inflows.</li><li>
Own and manage accounts payable and vendor payment strategy, ensuring disciplined cash management while maintaining strong vendor relationships.</li><li>
Identify potential cash flow risks in advance and communicate actionable insights to leadership.</li><li>
Continuously improve cash flow visibility through reporting, dashboards, and process enhancements.</li></ul><div><b><i>
Project Accounting:</i></b></div><ul><li>
Prepare and manage progress billings based on contract terms.</li><li>
Partner with project managers to track job costs, budgets, and profitability, ensuring financial accountability across projects.</li><li>
Prepare project cost reports and proactively identify margin risks.</li><li>
Maintain project-related financial data and support accurate revenue tracking.</li></ul><div><b><i>
Payroll and Compliance Coordination:</i></b></div><ul><li>
Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.</li><li>
Support prevailing wage reporting and compliance requirements where applicable.</li><li>
Coordinate HR and compliance matters with internal or external partners.</li></ul><div><b><i>
Team Support and Process Improvement:</i></b></div><ul><li>
Collaborate with and provide guidance to administrative and accounting support staff.</li><li>
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, reporting, and efficiency.</li><li>
Design and implement scalable financial systems to support company growth.</li></ul><div><br>

Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Accounting or related field.</li><li>
3&ndash;7+ years of accounting experience, including project-based or construction accounting.</li><li>
Experience with job costing, progress billing, or contract-based revenue.</li><li>
Strong understanding of accounts receivable, collections, and cash flow management.</li><li>
Proficiency in QuickBooks.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret contracts and project-related financial terms.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.</li><li>
Self-starter who is comfortable working independently in a growing environment.</li><li>
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li></ul><div><br>

Compensation:</b></div><ul><li>
$85,000 &ndash; $105,500 base salary.</li><li>
Performance-based bonus opportunities.</li><li>
