Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate complex emotional, psychological, and social challenges. You will deliver evidence-based therapies, conduct thorough assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans&mdash;all while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patients' lives through innovative clinical practices and compassionate care.Duties<ul><li>Conduct detailed intake assessments to evaluate patients&rsquo; mental health status, medical history, and social circumstances using diagnostic tools aligned with ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems.</li><li>Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, psychotherapeutic techniques, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).</li><li>Implement specialized treatment plans for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, and other chronic conditions.</li><li>Document all clinical encounters accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA standards for confidentiality and data security.</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams&mdash;including medical professionals specializing in psychopharmacology&mdash;to optimize patient outcomes.</li><li>Facilitate psychoeducational groups on topics such as addiction counseling, special education strategies, crisis management, and Christian counseling when appropriate.</li><li>Conduct diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.</li><li>Participate in clinical research initiatives related to behavioral health interventions or medical records analysis to advance evidence-based practices.</li><li>Respond promptly to mental health crises with effective crisis management strategies while maintaining safety protocols for patients with complex needs.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Valid licensure as a LPC in the state of Mississippi.</li><li>Demonstrated experience providing psychotherapy.</li><li>Proven expertise working with children and adolescents in pediatric or educational environments; familiarity with special education is a plus.</li><li>Experience delivering behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), for individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions; experience working within EMR systems is highly desirable.</li><li>Background in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care&mdash;including PTSD&mdash;and managing complex cases involving addiction counseling or Alzheimer&rsquo;s care.</li><li>Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments utilizing diagnostic tools aligned with ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9).</li><li>Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and documentation requirements under HIPAA regulations.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for engaging patients through individual or group counseling sessions while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and ethical professionalism.
