Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li><ul><li>Identify and mark the location of underground utilities such as water, gas, electric, and telecommunications lines. This involves using equipment like magnetic, radar, and electrical devices to precisely locate these lines.</li><li>Operate excavation equipment (backhoe, trencher, hydro-vac, etc)</li><li>Walk and confirm bore path, spot utilities</li><li>Ensure proper clearances to install the product per standards</li><li>Record depth of the tool head as required</li><li>Ensure drill head is in a good position at the exit pit to connect product</li><li>Oversee laborers and/or crew members work and monitor time usage</li><li>Place conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduits sections (install couplers) as directed, place anchors, pedestal, vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks</li><li>Must be able to operate tamps, jackhammers, core drills, concrete saws, and other miscellaneous equipment safely</li><li>Hand dig with shovels, picks, digging bars to expose located utilities, access u/g vaults and pedestals, and complete trenches</li></ul></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Education and Experience:</p><ul><li><br>

Underground Locator

<div><div><p>Responsible for overseeing/monitoring the activities on new build, rebuild, extension, expansion, design and planning construction projects to ensure they are completed in accordance with established standards. Administers some aspects of construction activities, including materials, labor, and resource allocation planning. Acts as lead in teams and projects. Has developed knowledge and skills in own discipline. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.</p></div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>
Compiles and coordinates all phases of construction projects including pre-construction meetings, site surveys, permit and license applications, make-ready, design and documentation, material procurement, contract labor requirements, and plant activation.</li><li>
Assists to plans all facets of the construction process, rendering decision on workflow, production planning and control, material and labor cost control.</li><li>
Works closely with upper management and participates to ensure the execution of projects</li><li>
Creates cost estimates for new projects, monitors job costs, evaluates change orders and controls the cost of work in progress to budget.</li><li>
Supports technicians and leadership team with coordination of projects.</li><li>
Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.</li><li>
Reviews, resolves, follows-up customer request and complaints.</li><li>
Assists with the annual plant construction budget.</li><li>
Performs on the field ride-out/walk-out of project sites for the purpose of surveying, gathering and recording details, finding solutions, monitoring progress, performing post-construction review.</li><li>
Coordinate, meet and interacts with Government/Town officials and representatives from Utilities, Contractors, outside agencies, consultants and internal business partners on construction related activities to complete mutual and individual goals.</li><li>
Provides technical advice and engineering support to other departments including Procurement, Warehouse, Legal, Government Relations, and Design Center functions.</li><li>
Knowledge of the National Electric Codes</li><li>
Oversees the activity of subcontractors</li><li>
Monitors performance of construction crew to established goals and objectives</li><li>
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.</li><li>
