Purpose: The Warehouse Assistant supports the daily warehouse operations by assisting in inventory handling, shipping, receiving, and facility organization. This hands-on role is essential in maintaining the flow of goods, equipment, and supplies within the warehouse and supporting the Operations Manager in delivering efficient, accurate, and compliant service to internal and external stakeholders.<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
Responsibilities</h1>
&bull; Open and close warehouse facility according to operational schedules. &bull; Receive, inspect, sort, and record all incoming and outgoing shipments.
<ul><li>Ensure all inventory is properly checked in, processed, and placed in the correct locations.
</li></ul><ul><li>Operate warehouse equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and box truck as needed.
</li></ul><ul><li>Support compliance with customer requirements for handling, packing, and delivery.
</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in the warehouse.
</li></ul><ul><li>Monitor and assist in staging, loading, and delivering materials.
</li></ul><ul><li>Track and support warehouse performance metrics and improvements.
</li></ul><ul><li>Communicate professionally with vendors, contractors, customers, and internal staff.
</li></ul><ul><li>Assist the Operations Manager in resolving on-site issues and escalating concerns when needed.
</li></ul><ul><li>Understand DOT and basic logistics requirements to assist with route planning and compliance.
</li></ul><ul><li>Perform other duties as assigned in support of warehouse and operational goals.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Inventory accuracy and receipt-to-shelf time
</li><li>Warehouse cleanliness and compliance
</li><li>Equipment handling safety record
</li><li>Productivity benchmarks
</li><li>Feedback from internal teams, vendors, and supervisors

<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">Requirements</h1>
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
&bull; 1&ndash;2 years in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics support role preferred &bull; Equipment operation certification (forklift, etc.) a plus
Exposure:
<ul><li>Hands-on warehouse operations and logistics workflows
</li><li>Interaction with third-party vendors, drivers, and contractors
</li><li>Physical labor including lifting, driving, and equipment handling
</li><li>Familiarity with shipping/receiving software, safety procedures, and DOT basics</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
