<div><div>Assembles components and parts of various materials to specification following blueprints or work instruction using fixtures and or jigs with the aid of manual and/or power tools; may perform in process tests and completes assemblies to meet expectations around safety and quality working at benches or on shop floor.<br>

<ul><li>
Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.</li><li>
Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.</li><li>
Uses manual or powered hand tools or fixtures to assist in assembly</li><li>
Responsible for inspecting and checking parts to detect defects or dimensional discrepancies occurring either prior to or during assembly, and report these and other unusual conditions as directed by Department Supervisor.</li><li>
Records data or completes paperwork.</li><li>
Notifies supervisor of out of tolerance or quality issues.</li><li>
May package or prepare finished goods for warehouse.</li><li>
Keeps work area neat and clean in accordance with 6-S.</li><li>
Wears all appropriate PPE and complies with safety instructions.</li><li>
Completes work timely and to quality and safety expectations.</li><li>
May train other operators on &quot;Standard Products&quot;,</li><li>
May perform &quot;water spider&quot; role.</li><li>
May perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><br>

High school diploma or GED</li><li>
Minimum of 6 months experience in an Assembly manufacturing environment</li><li>
Able to work in a team environment</li><li>
Ability to interpret blueprints and their symbols.</li><li>
Able to use a variety of hand tools</li><li>
Able to operate a personal computer and various software packages.</li><li>
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.</li><li>
Able to lift between 0 - 15lbs regularly, 16-30lbs frequently and above 30 lbs rarely (with assistance)</li></ul></div>

Operates a variety of machine tools and equipment, such as manual lathes, mills, drill presses, cut off saws and CNC turning and milling equipment.</li><li>
Performs set up to operation to produce a variety of production parts and tools from metal, composites and other materials.</li><li>
Inspects all work using precision measuring tools to ensure all parts meet drawing specifications.</li><li>
Makes adjustments and offsets to machines to control speed, material feed, and path of cut.</li><li>
Makes sure machines are set up properly, working well and producing quality product.</li><li>
Performs work under general to minimal supervision depending on skill level/experience.
</li><li>Enters accurate daily labor information into data collection system.
</li><li>Quality conscientious and responsible for all aspects of quality related to work produced.
</li><li>Knowledge and general understanding of ISO 9001 quality policies.
</li><li>Adheres to all safety directives/requirements within the area and facility (i.e. Personal Protective Equipment) and fully participates in all 6S activities and daily clean-up.

Machining experience running Lathes, manual and CNC (Mills experience a plus)</li><li>
Able to work in a team environment</li><li>
Able to work any shift</li><li>
Ability to interpret blueprints and their symbols.</li><li>
Knowledge of micrometers (manual and digital).</li><li>
Read comparators such as radii, angular, and size.</li><li>
Able to operate a personal computer and various software packages.</li><li>
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.</li></ul></div>
