Quality Inspector

ITW Medical is comprised of three highly-respected medical product brands - Coeur, Filtertek &amp; Precise Biomedical &ndash; supplying medical devices, components and service to global medical device brands. Filtertek manufactures molded filtration and flow control components. Precise provides technical service, maintenance &amp; training for contrast media injectors. Coeur is a leading provider of disposable diagnostic imaging consumables.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:<ul><li>
Perform routine visual/functional/dimensional testing per required specifications and procedures for the Quality and Assembly departments</li><li>
Ensure conformance of received components</li><li>
Ensure conformance of production to required specifications and documentation requirements through routine, in-process inspection.</li><li>
Ensure proper labeling</li><li>
Ensure proper documentation/sampling</li><li>
Conduct applicable visual, dimensional, and functional testing</li><li>
Complete appropriate documentation, including release/hold paperwork/ databases</li><li>
Communicate findings real-time</li><li>
Provide Quality support to production in the clean room and lab environment</li><li>
Perform end of pallet case inspections for conformance to specifications</li><li>
Complete appropriate documentation associated with Device History Records</li><li>
Review and/or approve:</li><li>
label controls</li><li>
production Bill of Materials</li><li>
work orders</li><li>
pallet labeling</li><li>
DHR paperwork</li><li>
When applicable, assist in review of rework product</li><li>
When applicable, initiate Internal Quality Feedback Reports in the Quality Database</li><li>
Know and Understand Quality Policy and be able to communicate to other employees throughout the organization</li><li>

General Responsibilities/Support</h2><ul><li>
Offer support in the handling of day to day production activities with minimal direct supervision and guidance.</li><li>
Offer input for areas for improvement in products, processes and procedures.</li><li>
Perform special testing, including validation testing, as required</li><li>
Perform process Audits/Inspections as appropriate.</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Educational Level</h2><ul><li>
up to a 2-year quality, technical, or related degree or 3 years related experience</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Comprehension/Reasoning Skills</h2><ul><li>
Ability to read and understand complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals</li><li>
Ability to record results and to write routine reports and correspondence.</li><li>
Ability to effectively and promptly communicate results from inspections.</li><li>
Ability to work with minimum supervision.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Math Skills</h2><ul><li>
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.</li><li>
Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Other Skills and Abilities</h2><ul><li>
Ability to operate standard office equipment including a photo-copier and fax machine.</li><li>
Prior experience using personal computer and standard spreadsheet and word processing software packages preferred.</li><li>
Ability to use hand-operated and touch screen-controlled equipment.</li></ul>
