<div>Federal Work-Study positions are part-time positions hired each semester and are for current Ivy Tech students.
 
The Career Link Work Study will perform assigned duties to support the operations of the Ivy+ Career Link Department and assist the Ivy+ Career Link staff as needed. The role involves providing reception services and customer services to guests in the Ivy+ Career Link Office.

Student Work-Study: Ivy+ Career Link

<div>Provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within specific academic programs; provide timely and meaningful feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes; engage students outside of class in support of the curriculum and co-curriculum; provide institutional support and community service; participate meaningfully in student retention and completion initiatives; support the College&rsquo;s mission and strategic plan initiatives; conform to campus expectations of faculty performance and engagement. 
 
Salary:
 
$42,140 - $54,860 Compensation will be commensurate with the requirements of the position and the candidate&rsquo;s relevant experience and education.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 I. INSTRUCTION
 1. Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technology that best support student learning, and in accordance with college loading policy, course objectives and program learning outcomes.
 2. Develop and maintain curriculum and supporting course materials in keeping with and furtherance of course objectives and program learning outcomes.
 3. Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and other documentation as required. Manage a classroom environment conducive to student learning and in adherence to federal, state, and college safety standards and practices.
4. Facilitate student achievement of expected program learning outcomes.
5. Use Learning Management System (e.g. IvyLearn) to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment and communication.
6. Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.
 II. RETENTION AND STUDENT SUCCESS
Provide academic-related coaching and academic monitoring to assigned student advisees in partnership with professional academic advising staff. Monitor and document student performance throughout the semester, including use of technology for academic advising alerts; provide necessary interventions to include communication with students, tutoring and other academic supports, and referrals to appropriate college resources. Maintain posted office hours and student engagement hours in accordance with campus expectations and the faculty loading policy in the Academic Support and Operations Manual (ASOM 7.2). Promote and assist in student recruitment, retention, and successful completion of programs, including outreach to students by phone, technology tools, and other electronic means.
III. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Participate in professional development activities that may include scheduled training, time spent onsite in related business and industries, and self-study to advance instructional and technical skills as well as current knowledge within the field of study. Participate in scholarly activities related to the discipline/focus, in fulfillment of annual performance plans, and as required for certification and licensure. Stay current in contemporary pedagogy, digital technology, and other technology related to teaching that best support student learning.
IV. COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND BUSINESS OUTREACH
Participate in community service activities on behalf of the college to advance the college&rsquo;s relationships within its service area as appropriate for department/school/college. Develop community/industry/business contacts to advance college relationships within service area as appropriate in the department and school.

Faculty - Aviation Maintenance

<div>Ivy Tech Kokomo seeks a part-time lab tech to provide support for the automotive program for maintenance of classrooms, equipment, storage space, materials and assistance in course maintenance &amp; development for online and face to face content for instruction.

Automotive Lab Technician-Part Time

<div>Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.
Major Responsibilities
PROGRAM OPERATION: Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements. Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook. Submits requested information within established timelines. STUDENTS: Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance. Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues. INSTRUCTION: Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate. In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair. Adjunct - Dental Assisting

Tutors should be prepared to share with students how to effectively study for the course.  </li>
 <li>
 Two years of directly related work experience that is specifically linked to the competencies listed in the Curriculum of Record (COR);

Faculty - Welding

<div>The Administrative Assistant for the Academic Advising Center provides front-line support to students, faculty, and staff by managing inquiries, triaging student concerns, scheduling advising appointments, and connecting individuals with appropriate resources. This role also supports the daily operations of the advising center through calendar management, student record coordination, and collaboration with campus academic and student affairs staff to ensure efficient, student-centered services. This is an in person role based on the Evansville campus.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Essential Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>
Collaborate closely with the Director of the Academic Advising Center to support departmental initiatives, operations, and continuous improvement efforts within the Academic Advising Center.</li><li>
Provide front-line support as the initial point of contact for students, faculty, and staff by responding to phone, email, and in-person inquiries, triaging questions, and connecting individuals with appropriate resources and support services in a professional and welcoming manner.</li><li>
Greet visitors and students, clarify and answer general questions, and/or enter students into queuing system (IVY Q) to be seen by an Academic Advisor.</li><li>
Schedule advising appointments utilizing Ivy Connect (Salesforce), review student records in the Banner Student Information System, and manage advisor calendars to ensure efficient coordination of student services.</li><li>
Maintain and update advising caseloads by utilizing the institutional data warehouse to ensure accurate student/advisor assignments.</li><li>
Collaborate with campus administrative assistants to coordinate smooth handoffs of students to faculty advisors, ensuring timely and accurate support.</li><li>
Maintain overall accurate student records and assist with data entry, tracking, and reporting within institutional systems.</li><li>
Support daily operations of the Academic Advising Center, including document preparation, filing, inventory, supply ordering, and office organization.</li><li>
Keep accurate spreadsheet of supply &amp; expense, professional development. Verifying spreadsheet coincides with the balance of the college.</li><li>
Submit work orders, maintenance and upkeep, helpdesk tickets for phone, computer and printer issues.</li><li>
Coordinate departmental events, storage room, oversee break room, set up, and clean up.</li><li>
Assist with student outreach efforts, reminders, and follow-up communications regarding appointments, deadlines, and campus resources.</li><li>
Collaborate with advising staff to ensure positive student experience and smooth workflow across the department.</li><li>
Maintain working knowledge of emergency/safety procedures as provided by supervisor. Be knowledgeable of the locations of the electronic and hard copy of procedures when applicable in order to deliver information as needed to customers.</li><li>
Uphold confidentiality of student information in accordance with institutional policies and FERPA guidelines.</li></ul>
Hiring Range:<ul><li>
This is an hourly role budgeted between $15.50 and $16.50 per hour.</li></ul>
