We are currently seeing a Marketing Writer. The Marketing Writer is responsible for developing compelling written content that elevates JDI&rsquo;s presence, engages target audiences across multiple platforms, and supports business development efforts through clear, persuasive communication. The ideal candidate brings strong writing ability, a working knowledge of SEO and best proposal practices, and a genuine eagerness to learn the technical language of industrial mechanical contracting.<br>

<b>Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</b></div>
<div></div><div><b>Web Content</b></div>
<ul><li>Work with Marketing Manager to plan, write, and publish optimized web content including service</li>
<li>pages, project spotlights, blog posts, and landing pages that reflect JDI capabilities in mechanical</li>
<li>construction and contracting.</li>
<li>Conduct keyword research and apply on-page SEO best practices to improve organic search rankings</li>
<li>and drive qualified traffic to the company website.</li>
<li>Collaborate with project teams to gather technical information and translate it into clear, audience-</li>
<li>appropriate web copy.</li>
<li>Ensure all written content is consistent in tone, brand voice, and industry terminology.</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>Proposal Writing</b></div>
<ul><li>Lead the writing, editing, and formatting of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for</li>
<li>Qualifications (RFQs), and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs).</li>
<li>Work closely with estimating, project management, and business development team to gather scope</li>
<li>details, project narratives, and differentiators.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a library of reusable proposal content including company boilerplates, project</li>
<li>descriptions, and staff bios.</li>
<li>Manage proposal deadlines and coordinate review cycles to ensure on-time, polished submissions.</li>
<li>Track proposal outcomes and identify trends to improve win rates over time.</li>
</ul>

<b>Social Media:</b></div>
<ul><li>Develop and maintain a content calendar for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant</li>
<li>platforms.</li>
<li>Write and schedule posts showcasing completed projects, company culture, industry expertise, safety</li>
<li>milestones, and community involvement.</li>
<li>Engage with followers, respond to comments, and grow the company's online community.</li>
<li>Photograph internal events and special occasions; organize and maintain content on the company</li>
<li>server</li>
<li>Monitor social media analytics and adjust strategy to improve reach, engagement, and follower growth.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the Marketing Manager, field teams, and project managers to source project site</li>
<li>content.</li>

<b>General Marketing Support:</b></div>
<div></div><ul><li>Assist with the development of marketing collateral including brochures, case studies, award submissions, and trade show materials.</li>
<li>Support internal communications as needed.</li>
<li>Stay current on industry trends in mechanical construction, contracting, and B2B marketing.</li>

<b>Skills and Qualifications:</b></div>
<ul><li>Experience in web writing, with a strong understanding of SEO principles and the ability to synthesize</li>
<li>complex information into compelling narratives</li>
<li>Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social)</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication, proofreading, and editing skills</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Familiarity with mechanical construction or commercial/industrial contracting preferred but not required.</li>
<li>3+ years of professional experience in marketing, content writing or proposal coordination, preferably within</li>
<li>construction, engineering, or a related trade industry</li>
<li>Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in marketing, Communication, English, journalism or Related Field or</li>
<li>experience.</li>
