<p>JMark is seeking a highly skilled <b>Technical Writer</b> to provide research, communication, and presentation development support to senior leadership within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research &amp; Engineering (OUSD(R&amp;E)). The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, advanced writing skills, and expertise in producing clear, concise, and accurate communication materials tailored to multiple audiences.</p>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Research, Analysis, and Communication Development</b></h3>
<ul><li><p>Produce high-quality written materials, including speeches, reports, point papers, presentations, and briefs.</p>
</li><li><p>Conduct research on major technical issues, emerging technologies, policy areas, and defense innovation trends.</p>
</li><li><p>Analyze information, identify key issues, and develop clear and accurate messaging aligned with organizational priorities.</p>
</li><li><p>Create dynamic, well-structured PowerPoint presentations and multimedia products suitable for senior-level audiences.</p>
</li><li><p>Track complex issues through to resolution and respond promptly to inquiries, taskers, and correspondence.</p>
</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Executive and Senior Leadership Support</b></h3>
<ul><li><p>Write speeches and communication products that align with leadership priorities and are tailored to target audiences.</p>
</li><li><p>Coordinate speaking engagements and related logistics, ensuring the accuracy and readiness of all presentation materials.</p>
</li><li><p>Interface professionally with senior DoD officials and stakeholders, providing clear messaging recommendations.</p>
</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Content Creation for Multiple Formats</b></h3>
<ul><li><p>Produce communication products across a variety of platforms and styles, including:</p>
<ul><li><p>Formal speeches</p>
</li><li><p>Executive-level presentations</p>
</li><li><p>Articles, blogs, and videos</p>
</li><li><p>Letters, op-eds, and bylined pieces</p>
</li><li><p>Social media content and digital communications</p>
</li></ul></li><li><p>Ensure all materials reflect organizational voice, mission priorities, and strategic communication plans.</p>
</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Strategic Messaging and Audience Alignment</b></h3>
<ul><li><p>Tailor messages for diverse audiences, including DoD leadership, internal staff, external partners, media, academic communities, and industry.</p>
</li><li><p>Align messaging with OUSD(R&amp;E) strategic communication objectives and broader organizational initiatives.</p>
</li><li><p>Advise leadership on communication strategies, key themes, and message delivery.</p>
</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement</b></h3>
<ul><li><p>Meet regularly with government customers to review requirements, provide updates, and refine messaging strategies.</p>
</li><li><p>Maintain awareness of ongoing program discussions, technical developments, and emerging issues relevant to the organization.</p>
</li></ul><p></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications</b></h2>
<ul><li><p>Active TS/SCI clearance required.</p>
</li><li><p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, Public Policy, or related field.</p>
</li><li><p>5&ndash;10+ years of experience in technical writing or strategic communications within DoD or federal environments.</p>
</li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to convey complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language.</p>
</li><li><p>Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and related multimedia applications.</p>
</li><li><p>Strong critical thinking, research, and analytical skills.</p>
</li><li><p>Experience engaging with senior executives and producing high-visibility communication products.</p>
</li><li><p>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p></li></ul></div>
