Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Procurement Management</li><li>Lead procurement of BOM materials (steel grades, forgings, machining inputs) and non-BOM materials (consumables, tools, MRO supplies).</li><li>Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components to support forging and machining operations.</li><li>Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production and cost targets.</li><li>Vendor Development &amp; Management</li><li>Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for steel and allied materials.</li><li>Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve cost savings and quality standards.</li><li>Build long-term supplier relationships and monitor vendor performance.</li><li>Cost Optimization &amp; Compliance</li><li>Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.</li><li>Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.</li><li>Monitor market trends in steel and forging materials to anticipate price fluctuations.</li><li>Cross-functional Collaboration</li><li>Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to understand material requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with finance for budgeting, payment terms, and cost tracking.</li><li>Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing materials for prototypes and trials.</li><li>Inventory &amp; Systems Management</li><li>Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance availability and working capital.</li><li>Implement ERP/Excel-based procurement tracking systems for transparency and efficiency.</li><li>Ensure accurate documentation of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier records.</li></ul>Required Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>bachelor&rsquo;s degree in mechanical/production engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).</li><li>7&ndash;8 years of proven experience in automobile industry (steel-related procurement).</li><li>Strong knowledge of forging, machining processes, and steel grades.</li><li>Expertise in BOM/non-BOM procurement and vendor negotiations.</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement dashboards.</li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.</li><li>Ability to handle pressure, drive accountability, and deliver results.</li></ul>Key Attributes<ul><li>Strategic thinker with hands-on operational execution.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Assertive negotiator with professionalism.</li><li>Team-oriented leader fostering collaboration and accountability.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;40,000.00 - &#8377;50,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
