Please read this carefully! ....................................................This is a non-traditional position, so please read this entire listing carefully to ensure it's a good fit before applying.About this job<ul><li>Hours are part-time, with additional work available during busy summer months and holidays.</li><li>Our employees make multiple trips per day to client homes within our service area. If you live more than 10-15 minutes from the 29307 zip code, this may not be a good fit&mdash;especially if you&rsquo;d be driving out for just one or two visits.</li><li>Workdays vary but typically include 1&ndash;2 shifts per day.</li><li>An average shift includes 2&ndash;6 visits (approximately 1&ndash;4 hours total), though there are occasionally single-visit shifts.</li><li>The schedule is somewhat like gig work, but there are plenty of hours available for the right, dedicated person!</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Walk dogs, including x-large dogs &amp; strong pullers</li><li>Feed and administer medications to dogs &amp; cats</li><li>Clean up after pets (including diarrhea, vomit, etc)</li><li>Provide playtime &amp; love to all pets</li><li>Communicate politely &amp; clearly with clients</li><li>Perform basic house sitting tasks (sweeping, watering plants, taking out trash, etc)</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior professional animal-care experience is preferred (pet sitting for a larger company, veterinary, boarding, shelter, etc.)</li><li>Comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments (some clients&rsquo; pets may show reactivity or resource guarding)</li><li>Patience with shy cats and willingness to spend time earning their trust</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Strong verbal &amp; written communication and reading comprehension (must follow detailed care notes)</li><li>Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver</li><li>18 years or older</li><li>Pass state &amp; federal background checks</li><li>Valid driver's license</li><li>Reliable transportation (own or lease a vehicle)</li><li>Respectful, positive team player who can take direction and learn</li><li>Comfortable walking and standing for long periods of time</li><li>Ability to lift large dogs in an emergency</li><li>Smartphone capable of running required apps</li></ul>Benefits of this job:<ul><li>Spend your workday with animals ❤</li><li>Join a kind, supportive, inclusive team</li><li>Holiday bonus pay</li><li>Many of our clients are generous tippers</li><li>The work is challenging but deeply rewarding for people who are passionate about animal care</li></ul>.........................
