Your Role</div><p><b>
Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><br>
<p></p><ul><li>
Taking care of all kinds of waste within the DWF workshop and Jetties.</li><li>
Oversee waste management operations for a facility, including waste collection, disposal, recycling, and compliance with UAE regulations.</li><li>
Ensure proper segregation, handling, and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.</li><li>
Develop and implement waste management policies, procedures, and programs.</li><li>
Monitor and report on waste disposal and recycling performance, aiming to reduce waste production.</li><li>
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.</li><li>
Coordinate with waste contractors and vendors for the removal and disposal of waste materials.</li><li>
Provide training and guidance to staff on proper waste management practices.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records and reports on waste disposal activities.</li><li>
Stay updated on local, state, and federal waste management regulations and ensure compliance.</li><li>
Work with the sustainability team to implement waste reduction initiatives and promote recycling programs.</li><li>
Assist QHSSE department when required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Job and Skills Requirement</b></p><br>

Strong knowledge of waste management regulations, laws, and best practices.</li><li>
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>
Ability to analyze waste management data and prepare reports.</li><li>
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with staff, vendors, and regulators.</li><li>
Problem-solving skills to address waste disposal challenges efficiently.</li><li>
Familiarity with hazardous materials handling and environmental health and safety standards.</li><li>
Ability to develop and implement waste reduction strategies.</li><li>
Attention to detail for record-keeping and compliance purposes.</li><li>
Proficiency in using waste management software and tools.</li><li>
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.</li><li>
Leadership and training capabilities to manage waste-related activities and educate staff.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

Your Role</div><p>
As a a Mechanical Engineer you will support our Asset Management Team in maintaining and optimizing mechanical asset data for dredging and offshore vessels + equipment. This office-based role focuses on main drive systems, including diesel engines, gearboxes, and propulsion units, with a strong emphasis on understanding how these systems work and identifying their components.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Your tasks and responsibilities:</b></p><br>
<p></p><ul><li>
Maintain and analyze mechanical asset records (e.g. engines, gearboxes, thrusters, shaft lines)</li><li>
Understand the working principles of diesel engines, gearboxes and propulsion systems</li><li>
Identify and manage mechanical components and spare parts used in these main drive systems</li><li>
Review technical documentation and ensure compliance with maritime standards + JDN spare parts requirement.</li><li>
Coordinate with vessel crews, TD, and suppliers to validate mechanical asset data</li><li>
Manage mechanical article master data in the maintenance system (AmosW)</li><li>
Work confidently with MS Office tools, especially Excel</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Requirements:</b></p><br>

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent</li><li>
3+ years of experience in maritime, offshore or mechanical systems</li><li>
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, gearboxes, and propulsion systems</li><li>
Ability to interpret technical drawings and identify it&rsquo;s mechanical components</li><li>
Fluent in English</li><li>
Proficient in MS Excel and asset management systems (e.g. AmosW, Maximo, SAP PM)</li></ul></div>
