The Business Development Manager holds a strategic leadership role, responsible for spearheading business expansion initiatives, identifying market gaps, and ensuring the achievement of monthly targets and broader business objectives. This position involves strategic planning, market analysis, and effective management of the sales team to drive growth and profitability.
What does Business Development Manager do?
Executing an On-Ground Payments Ecosystem:<ul><li>
To execute the development of an end-to-end on-ground payments ecosystem driven by JazzCash mobile wallets, with a focus on establishing a robust network of payment acceptance points and facilitating merchant-to-distributor (M2D) payments and its eco-system.</li></ul>
Strategic Business Expansion:<ul><li>
Develop and implement strategies for the expansion of business operations, identifying new market segments and opportunities for growth.</li></ul>
Market Analysis &amp; Identification of New Opportunities:<ul><li>
Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify gaps, opportunities, and potential challenges.</li><li>
Propose solutions to address market loopholes and enhance business efficiency and governance.</li></ul>
Sales Team Leadership &amp; Target Achievement:<ul><li>
Lead, coach, and guide the sales team to achieve monthly targets and align with broader business and growth objectives.</li></ul>
Strategic Planning &amp; Objective Setting:<ul><li>
Develop strategic plans, set clear objectives, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team to ensure focus and alignment.</li></ul>
Relationship Management &amp; Partnerships:<ul><li>
Cultivate and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients to foster business growth and collaborations.</li></ul>
Performance Tracking &amp; Reporting:<ul><li>
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to the management for informed decision-making.</li></ul>
Training &amp; Development Initiatives:<ul><li>
Implement training programs and initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team, ensuring readiness to meet business objectives.</li></ul>
Operational Efficiency &amp; Compliance:<ul><li>
Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies across business operations.</li><li>
Manage and hire a high performance on-ground sales team and promote a culture of efficiency, accountabilty and ownership.</li></ul>

Requirements 
What we are we looking for and what does it require to be a Business Development Manager?
Education &amp; Experience<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.</li><li>
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business development, strategic planning, or sales management, ideally within FMCG, Telecommunications, FinTech or related industries.</li><li>
Proven experience in team leadership and management.</li><li>
Expertise in Distribution Management and Key Stakeholder Engagement.</li><li>
Demonstrated success in strategic business expansion and a deep understanding of market dynamics.</li><li>
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive high performance.</li><li>
Exceptional planning and decision-making abilities, with a tactical and results-oriented approach.</li><li>
Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration and trust.</li><li>
Highly analytical, with a strong capability to leverage data for informed decision-making.</li><li>
Thorough knowledge of compliance standards and a focus on operational efficiency within the industry.</li></ul>
