About the Role 
We are seeking qualified, confident, and collaborative Entry-Level Engineers to join our HVAC and Plumbing &amp; Fire Protection departments in our Philadelphia office. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your engineering career with a firm known for innovation, mentorship, and technical excellence. 
As an Engineer at JB&amp;B, you'll work on a wide variety of projects-ranging in size, complexity, and duration-across multiple sectors. You'll collaborate with senior engineers and partners, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful client solutions. 
 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Complete tasks on fit-out, base building, and infrastructure upgrade projects</li><li>
Assemble riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans</li><li>
Assist in planning and coordination of major distribution systems, equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers</li><li>
Review shop drawings and perform site visits and punch lists under senior supervision</li><li>
Design HVAC systems including distribution, recirculation, and exhaust</li><li>
Design plumbing systems including water, gas, and waste distribution</li><li>
Work on facility utilities such as chilled water, heating water, steam, and condensate</li><li>
Lay out sprinkler systems and perform basic calculations for pipe sizing, design densities, and pump horsepower</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field (by Summer 2026)</li><li>
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills</li><li>
Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment</li><li>
Interest in building systems, sustainability, and innovative design</li></ul>
