With over 48 years of experience, JBK Controls offers timely and cost-effective solutions with manpower and technical expertise.Job Title: Senior Design &amp; Estimation Engineer &ndash; CCTV &amp; Access Control SystemsDepartment: ELV / Low Current / Security Systems Experience Level: 10+ Years Reports To: General Manager Location: Qatar Job Summary<ul><li>Act as a primary liaison between Sales, Pre-Sales, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure smooth coordination and communication on ELV and AV projects.</li><li>Prepare BOQs, cost comparisons, and techno-commercial proposals specifically tailored for ELV and AV systems, meeting project specifications and timelines.</li><li>Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and terms for ELV and AV equipment, contributing to cost-effective project delivery.</li><li>Lead the preparation of tender documentation, pre-qualification, and material submittals for large-scale ELV and AV projects, including security systems, structured cabling, and audio-visual installations.</li><li>Collaborate with clients to manage budgets, track project progress, and resolve technical challenges, ensuring the successful execution of ELV and AV solutions.</li></ul>Key ResponsibilitiesDesign &amp; Engineering<ul><li>Develop detailed designs and technical drawings for:</li><li>CCTV Systems (IP, hybrid, PTZ, analytics-based systems)</li><li>Access Control Systems (RFID, biometric, multi-door controllers)</li><li>Integrated ELV Systems (intercoms, intrusion detection, parking management, etc.)</li><li>Create single-line diagrams, system architectures, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD or Revit.</li><li>Perform site surveys and client consultations to define system requirements.</li><li>Ensure all designs meet regulatory and industry standards (e.g., SIRA, MOI, NFPA, UL, EN, BS).</li></ul>Estimation &amp; Proposal Development<ul><li>Analyze tender documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare comprehensive material take-offs (MTOs) and BOQs.</li><li>Estimate material, labor, and subcontractor costs with precision.</li><li>Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for technical and commercial compliance.</li><li>Prepare detailed cost estimation sheets, pricing strategies, and value engineering proposals to optimize budgets.</li><li>Collaborate with the procurement, sales, and project teams to finalize quotations and tender submissions.</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Coordination<ul><li>Generate complete technical and commercial proposal packages.</li><li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, design, procurement, execution).</li><li>Respond to RFIs, clarifications, and design reviews with clients and consultants.</li><li>Provide technical support during project execution when needed.</li></ul>Key Skills &amp; Expertise<ul><li>Expertise in:</li><li>IP &amp; Analog CCTV technologies (Axis, Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, etc.)</li><li>Access control systems (Honeywell, Lenel, HID, ZKTeco, Suprema, etc.)</li><li>ELV system integration (video intercoms, PA, BMS, fire alarm interfaces)</li><li>Tools &amp; Software:</li><li>AutoCAD, Visio, MS Office Suite, Excel Estimation Tools, Revit (optional)</li><li>VMS platforms (Milestone, Genetec, etc.)</li><li>Strong understanding of:</li><li>International &amp; local security standards ( MOI, BICSI, etc.)</li><li>Tendering procedures &amp; estimation best practices</li></ul>Education &amp; Certifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, or equivalent.</li></ul>Professional Experience<ul><li>10+ years of experience in ELV System Design and Estimation, particularly CCTV and Access Control.</li><li>Experience managing design and estimation for large-scale commercial, government, industrial, or mixed-use projects across GCC or international markets.</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Strong communication &amp; presentation skills</li><li>Leadership in guiding junior engineers and designers</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy in costing</li><li>Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines</li></ul>Local hire onlyInterested candidates can share their updated CV to recruitment@jbkcontrols.comJob Types: Full-time, PermanentEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>ELV: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>
