The Opportunity ...:
<p>
The Logistics and Traffic Specialist role is about independent managing logistics and working with different departments to solve challenges creatively. You'll handle compliance checks, coordinate freight schedules, and keep shipping documents organized. You&rsquo;ll also arrange transportation, often collaborating with international teams, and managing shipping and invoicing. Negotiating transport rates and picking the best carriers is like a strategic game. Your efforts help prevent delays and keep costs in check, making a big impact on the company's success! This position is on site at our Visalia, CA location.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
On a given day, you may:</b></p><ul><li>
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight schedules with Operations, Customer Care, and Procurement.</li><li>
Negotiate cost-effective transport rates with contract carriers for international and domestic shipments.</li><li>
Analyze and evaluate quotes to select the best carriers based on cost and lead time.</li><li>
Maintain compliance with import/export regulations, including record-keeping and customs duties.</li><li>
Conduct international order shipping and manage invoice processes.</li><li>
Support ongoing efforts to improve logistics systems and processes.</li><li>
Oversee urgent expedited shipments and support the service team with job site projects.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with safety policies and attend required safety training sessions.</li></ul><div><b>
Requirements for the role</b></div><ul><li>
Three years of international traffic experience with a multinational equipment manufacturing company is preferred</li><li>
Strong working knowledge of import/export procedures, tariffs, HTS Codes, US free trade agreements, and hazardous materials.</li><li>
Demonstrated negotiation, planning, and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, and carriers.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.</li></ul>

COMPENSATION RANGE:</b> $70,400-$82,000 Compensation is determined on experience and skill. <i>This job description is a general description of essential job functions.
