This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of logistics operations, making a tangible impact on our company's success.Duties<ul><li>Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of trucks to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing routes using GPS and GIS tools</li><li>Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette at all times</li><li>Utilize transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to track shipments, update statuses, and manage freight movements</li><li>Monitor fleet management systems to ensure vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and compliance with safety standards</li><li>Enter data accurately into shipping &amp; receiving logs, AS400 systems, and other relevant platforms to ensure seamless information flow</li><li>Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in logistics and supply chain operations</li><li>Collaborate with warehouse teams on shipping &amp; receiving schedules, freight loads, and delivery priorities</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in dispatching within a transportation or logistics environment</li><li>Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, and fleet management software</li><li>Excellent analysis skills for route optimization, freight planning, and problem-solving in fast-paced settings</li><li>Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy using systems like Oracle Transportation Management and AS400</li><li>Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally and courteously</li><li>Familiarity with shipping &amp; receiving procedures, freight documentation, and 3PL (third-party logistics) operations</li><li>Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a high-volume environment</li></ul>Join us as a Truck Dispatcher and become an essential part of our vibrant logistics team!
