Our Home Fashions team is currently on the lookout for a Showroom Design Consultant to join our Andersonville, Lakeview and West Loop Locations. If you have a passion for interior design, and customer service skills to match, we may be right for each other!
As a Showroom Design Consultant your focus will be to guide clients through their selection of custom window treatments, wallcoverings, and paint colors for their home or business, and to cultivate, recognize, and drive sales for your store. Your creativity and passion for design matter more than a formal education or experience in design.
Requirements:
<ul><li>Provide fantastic customer service through out the entire design process</li><li>
Greet and engage customers, uncovering their color, wallcovering, or window treatment needs and helping them make their design vision become a reality</li><li>
Continually meet and exceed sales goals for the home fashions department and your store</li><li>
Be a part of the home fashions team, by cultivating appointments for the In-Home Services division and working collaboratively with its designers.</li><li>
Build rapport with clients, earning their business through your ability to demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and strong interpersonal skills</li><li>
Develop and maintain a customer base through networking and client follow up to ensure customer satisfaction before and after the sale</li><li>
Must be technologically savvy to work with various computer systems including: Outlook, Excel, ticketing systems, point of sale systems, and business-to-business ordering websites.</li><li>
Must be responsive to email</li><li>
Must schedule appointments using a request form or scheduling software</li><li>
Availability to work one weekend day.</li><li>
Ability to perform light lifting.</li></ul>

As part of our Design team your focus will be to assist clients in the selection of custom window treatments, wallcoverings, and paint colors/finishes for their home and/or business. Whether the customer is a contractor, designer or home owner the objective is to meet their needs in a manner that represents the JC Licht premium brand name and &ldquo;Make it Happen&rdquo; credo.<ul><li>
Must have own transportation to commute to multiple locations.</li><li>
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>
Be able to navigate POS system and prepare quotes.</li><li>
Cultivate appointments for our In-Home services from daily store traffic.</li><li>
Must be available to work evenings and weekends.</li><li>
Ability to drive sales and exceed monthly sales goals.</li><li>
Excellent follow up skills to earn sales and ensure overall customer satisfaction</li><li>
Work collaboratively with In Home associates to best service customers in a manner that best suits their needs.</li><li>
Must be able to perform light lifting</li><li>
Experience in window treatments, color consultation, and/or interior design a plus OR sales experience for other home improvement/design product lines</li></ul></div>
